AEV Launches 37-Inch Tire Clearance Kit For Silverado HD ZR2 Bison, Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition

Off-road enthusiasts looking for even greater capability from their heavy-duty trucks can now equip their 2024-and-later Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 Bison or GMC Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition with massive 37-inch tires worry-free thanks to a new 37-inch Tire Clearance Kit from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV).

From the factory, the Chevy Silverado 2500 ZR2 Bison and GMC Sierra 2500 AT4X AEV Edition are equipped with chunky 35-inch tires. While the factory spec is plenty capable on rugged terrain, the option to upgrade to 37-inch tires takes the off-road prowess to a new level. That said, without proper modifications, fitting larger tires can lead to rubbing, reduced wheel travel, and even potential damage.

The new AEV 37-inch Tire Clearance Kit addresses these issues with parts specifically designed for the Silverado HD ZR2 and Sierra HD AT4X. The kit includes brackets, trim templates, and plastic closeouts to ensure proper tire clearance. For the Sierra AT4X AEV Edition, the kit also includes replacement lower fender flare extensions. Properly installed, the new setup allows the larger tires to move freely, even during extreme off-road driving.

The kit is compatible with the factory wheels wrapped in 37-inch by 12.50-inch tires, while owners looking to use 37-inch by 13.50-inch tires will need new wheels with less backspacing (such as the AEV Salta XD). Notably, the kit also requires the AEV-specific front bumper for proper fitment.

The AEV 37-inch Tire Clearance Kit is available now, with pricing set at $349 for the Chevy Silverado 2500 ZR2 Bison kit and $699 for the GMC Sierra 2500 AT4X AEV Edition kit.

For those who may be unfamiliar, American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has a long-standing partnership with GM, playing a key role in developing off-road-ready models like the Silverado ZR2 Bison, Sierra AT4X AEV Edition, Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison, and GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition.

Under the hood, the Silverado HD ZR2 Bison and Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition are powered by one of two engine options, including the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, and the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at  470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. Both trucks ride on a more capable variant of the GM T1 platform.
