General Motors unveiled the 2026 GMC Hummer EV earlier this week, debuting several notable updates. Among the highlights is the new King Crab mode, which provides enhanced off-road maneuverability, as well as the new Carbon Fiber Edition, the quickest production Hummer ever made. The 2026 Hummer EV also debuts three new paint colors, as highlighted here.
The three new paint colors on offer for the 2026 GMC Hummer EV include (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Magnus Gray Matte (GBL)
- Coastal Dune (G42)
- Auburn Matte (GNR)
To note, Magnus Gray Matte is exclusive to the Carbon Fiber Edition with regard to the 2026 Hummer EV lineup.
Interestingly, the three colors listed above aren’t entirely new with respect to the broader GM portfolio. Magnus Gray Matte is the same color as Magnus Metal Frost offered by the Cadillac portfolio and Magnus Gray Matte Metallic offered by Chevrolet. Auburn Matte is the same color as Adobe Frost from Cadillac, while Coastal Dune is the same color to Sandstone from Cadillac and White Sands from Chevy.
Both Magnus Gray Matte and Coastal Dune are available for the 2026 GMC Sierra EV, while all three colors are available for the Cadillac Escalade IQ and IQL. Magnus Gray Matte Metallic is available for the the 2026 Silverado EV.
While the 2026 Hummer EV will offer three fresh paint options, it’s unclear which paint colors currently available for the 2025 model year will be discontinued. For now, the 2025 model year offers the following options:
- Deep Aurora Metallic (GXN)
- Graphite Blue Metallic (GAI)
- Interstellar White (GAZ)
- Meteorite Metallic (GNO)
- Solar Orange (GAG)
- Void Black (GBA)
Tide Metallic (paint code G7X) is no longer available to order for the 2025 model year.
Beyond the aesthetic updates, the 2026 model year also features bidirectional charging, enabling the vehicle to supply power to another EV or home during a blackout, plus enhanced Super Cruise with Hands-on Lane Change Assist (HOLCA). Under the skin, the 2026 GMC Hummer EV once again rides on the GM BT1 platform. Production for the 2026 model year will kick off this July at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.
