The 2026 GMC Hummer EV is arriving as the fifth model year for the Pickup and the third for the SUV. The model line serves as a duo of halo products for the GMC brand, representing what GMC and the BT1 platform are capable of in terms of on-road performance and off-road capability. These super EVs get a round of updates for the 2026 model year, which includes a host of new safety tech features.
The following advanced safety features now come standard on every 2026 GMC Hummer EV:
- Driver Attention Assist (RPO ULM)
- Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking (UKT)
- Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking (CTB)
- Rear Cross Traffic Braking (UFB)
- Side Bicyclist Alert (UOW)
- Traffic Sign Recognition (UVX)
- Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailering (UKW)
A few safety features are being removed from the standard features list for the 2026 Hummer since they’re being replaced with some of the features listed above. The ones doing away are the Following Distance Indicator (UE4), Front Pedestrian Braking (UKJ), and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (UFG).
Another tech update for the 2026 GMC Hummer EV is a new infotainment system (IVE). It still has a 13.4-inch touchscreen display and a Google built-in interface, but the new system does not come with the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity features. However, it does come with 5G connectivity, which is advantageous for drivers who get an in-car Wi-Fi subscription.
The start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV is scheduled for July 14th, 2025. Dealers will be able to submit orders starting on May 30th.
Pricing for the 2026 models is forthcoming, but we expect it to be similar to that of the 2025 models. The 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV both start at $98,845 for the base 2X trim and $106,945 for the 3X trim.
For motivation, the Hummer EV 2X models equip a pair of GM drive motors, while the 3X trims are powered by three motors. A 20-module battery pack utilizing GM battery technology is standard across the board, and the Pickup in the 3X trim is available with a 24-module battery pack.
For the 2026 model year, the GMC Hummer EV will continue to use the GM BT1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

You left out RPO code (HFS) Fifty Percent First Year Depreciation Shock Warning package that offers supplemental oxygen to the cabin after leaving the new owner in financial ruin. There’s also a new Flat Spot Warning Indicator (RPO FFS) that lets you know the 10,000 pound EV has developed deformed tires from sitting stationary on the dealers lot unsold for a prolonged period of time.
PLEASE, show me where these $50K HUMMER EV’s are. I’d love to buy one. Just kidding, you can’t find one at that price, thus your 50% comment is a lie.
Luddites are getting more desperate as EV sales continue to climb.
There was only “one” made. Didn’t you read the super fine, fine print after the cost? That’s on old trick to get you into the showroom.
Just test drove the Hummer Ev. Truck version. I absolutely love the looks. However the driving experience not so much. The software that GM is running is slow, lagging and never would work on the first try. The gm salesman just kept saying it just needs a software update. This is brand new on the lot. Super cruise would not work at all. I honestly went in on hopes of purchasing one and left with huge disappointment towards the hummer ev.
I’ve found that when the system is in “demo” mode (which it is before it’s sold) it runs slow. Once the vehicle is enrolled in OnStar and you do your initial setup, it seems to run much better.
Just go for the 2026 Hummer EV. They will fix all these issues plus it will come with a new computer (CPU/Memory, Etc.). I read somewhere that even the 2025 needs a lot of software upgrades for various modules and even modules replacement for everything to work as expected and that includes Supercruise. I also love the look of the Hummer and hope I can make the money to buy one soon. There is nothing that looks as attractive as the Hummer out there right now.
I am very interested in knowing what computer it has for 2026. It is time for reviewers and reporters like GMAuthority to talk about that but nobody cares as if that is not important nowadays. I am a software engineer and like to know what is driving my car. I know GM was in talks to use the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon RIDE platform for the Escalade with its beautiful big infotainment screen, but have no idea about what GM did/will do with the hummer 2026. DOES ANYBODY KNOW? CAN GM AUTHORITY HELPS US KNOW?
Maybe they went with NVIDIA?
Yeah, go with the 2026 with all the new gizmo stuff, soon to be followed by the required dealer visit for the recalls/updates.
