The 2026 GMC Acadia is on its way as the third model year for the latest third-gen crossover. The newest generation of GMC’s three-row crossover grew bigger and roomier, got a new turbo engine, and introduced introduced Super Cruise, pushing it into a new level of sophistication. Now, GM Authority has learned about some changes to the color palette of the 2026 GMC Acadia.
The 2026 GMC Acadia will ditch two paint options and replace them with similar ones. White Frost Tricoat (color code G1W) will be replaced by the similar Glacier White Tricoat (G4J) and Deep Bronze Metallic (GXN, pictured above) will be replaced by Riverstone Metallic (GFR). As we’ve reported previously, White Frost Tricoat is already built out for the 2025 model year and is no longer available to order, while Deep Bronze Metallic has been built out since the end of 2024.
This is one of many GM models swapping out one premium white paint option for another. For example, the GMC Terrain is making the same change. The old and the new white hues are almost indistinguishable from each other. Some Chevy and Buick models are making the same change (one of which is the Chevy Traverse, the Acadia’s C1 platform-mate), but with their own branded color names.
Deep Bronze Metallic is a dark bronze color first introduced with the Acadia’s 2024 redesign. Its natural hue was exclusive to the rugged Acadia AT4. Riverstone Metallic will be a lighter beige color. The same color code has been used on other GM models, including the GMC Terrain.
Production of the 2026 GMC Acadia will begin on July 14th, 2025, and will again take place at the Lansing Delta Township Assembly Plant in Michigan, as was the case previously. Dealers will be able to submit orders for the 2026 GMC Acadia starting June 12th, 2025. To note, both of these dates are tentative and may very well change some time in the future.
Pricing is forthcoming for the 2026 GMC Acadia, but the 2025 model is priced from $44,495 for the base Elevation trim level, $52,895 for the rugged AT4, and $55,595 for the luxe Denali. All-wheel drive is a $2,000 option for the Elevation and Denali trims, and, naturally, AWD is standard on the capable Acadia AT4. We expect pricing to be similar for the 2026 model.
