2026 GMC Acadia Loses This Audio System Upgrade

The 2026 GMC Acadia debuts the third model year for the third-generation crossover, introducing only minor changes over the outgoing 2025 Acadia. Among these is deletion of a specific audio system upgrade. As such, audiophiles will have to settle for a single stereo setup.

The 2026 GMC Acadia no longer offers the Denali Reserve Package.

More specifically, the Denali Reserve Package (RPO code GFY) is no longer offered for the 2026 model year. Previously priced at $3,130 for the 2025 GMC Acadia Denali, the package included a range of upscale features, including (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • Panoramic power sunroof with sunshade (CAJ)
  • Performance suspension (FE4)
  • 22-inch Pearl Nickel machined aluminum wheels (RUJ)
  • P275/45R22 all-season tires (QZR)
  • Bose Performance 16-speaker system with subwoofer (UQP)

Critically, most of these features will still be available for the 2026 GMC Acadia. The power sunroof, for example, is once again offered as a standalone option for 2026, while buyers can also opt for the suspension, wheels, and tires, although these latter three items are required as a singular upgrade.

That all said, the 16-speaker Bose Performance system has been discontinued. Instead, the standard Bose 12-speaker premium audio system with subwoofer (RPO code UQA) remains the only stereo option for the 2026 GMC Acadia, and is equipped across the trim level lineup for the latest model year.

Mechanically, the 2026 GMC Acadia remains unchanged over the preceding 2025 model year. Motivation is sourced from the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, which is rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. The GMC Acadia rides on the GM C1 platform, while vehicle production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township facility in Michigan.

The start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 GMC Acadia is currently scheduled for July 14th, 2025, with dealer orders previously opening on May 15th. While official pricing has yet to be announced, it is expected to remain more or less identical to pricing for the 2025 Acadia, which starts at $44,495 for the Elevation, $52,595 for the AT4, and $55,595 for the Denali. All-wheel drive remains a $2,000 upgrade for Elevation and Denali trims, and standard on the trail-ready AT4.

  1. Well that shoots it. I was going to order one but now you can forget it! No ride is worth it without the best tunes.

  2. The 16 speaker system was actually a big selling point for a lot of customers, as was the Denali reserve pkg. typical GM taking away the features that customers actually want.

    1. If it was a big selling feature, they wouldn’t have gotten rid of it. They have all the data on sales of options, just like the 2.0, it wasn’t selling and sales didn’t change when they got rid of the option. So no, it wasn’t a big selling point.

  3. @TMI, false. GM is very well known to discontinue popular features. right now they’re discontinuing Thunderstorm Gray on Sierra 1500. this was the best selling color for AT4 trims, and the 3rd most popular for Elevation trims.
