2026 Corvette Offers New Carbon Fiber Display Hood

The 2026 Corvette introduces a handful of updates to the mid-engined sports car. Its most newsworthy update is its redesigned interior, which introduces a three-screen display and the HVAC controls relocated from the “ski slope” to a more traditional layout beneath the infotainment screen. Another part of the interior refresh is a new option, a Carbon Fiber Display Hood (RPO code DY0).

The word “hood” might make you think of the thing that covers the engine, but this is a different kind of hood. It surrounds the 14-inch digital gauge cluster that sits above the steering column. As its name implies, this new option turns this trim piece into real carbon fiber. As is typical for carbon fiber interior trim, it’s more of a sporty fashion statement than a serious weight-saving measure.

This feature comes standard on both the 1LZ and 3LZ trim levels of the 2026 Corvette ZR1. It’s also optional on the 3LZ trims of the Z06 and E-Ray variants. Unfortunately for drivers craving the value-packed Corvette Stingray, this option isn’t available at all with the most affordable powertrain in the 2026 Corvette.

In addition to the aforementioned updates to the Corvette’s interior, the redesigned drive mode selector is now a toggle switch, pairing with improved drive mode screen animations, while a wireless phone charging pad has been added to the center console, in addition to the one between the seats. A USB-C port has also been added on the passenger side for improved convenience, while ambient lighting and a Corvette-emblazoned cupholder insert enhance interior aesthetics. Select trim levels also feature real aluminum highlights.

A new Performance App, included as standard across all 2026 Corvette models, delivers live readouts on horsepower, G-forces, tire pressure, and more. All models also include an updated infotainment system with Google built-in, while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are still supported. There’s also a newly available electrochromic roof that allows drivers to change the roof tint level on command.

On the custom options list, we find the debut of the Corvette’s first asymmetrical colorway in Jet Black and Adrenaline Red. Other interior colorway options include:

  • Sky Cool & Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents
  • Santorini Blue
  • Very Dark Atmosphere
  • Ultimate Suede

All 2026 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky. Production is scheduled to begin on August 4th, 2025.
