2026 Corvette May Be Getting A New High Wing Spoiler Option

The 2026 Corvette introduces a mid-cycle refresh headlined by a revised interior space with a new three-screen infotainment layout, new controls, and new customization options. Not only that, but the 2026 Corvette also debuts a few interesting exterior updates, such as blue brake calipers and other bits. Now, it’s looking like the refreshed exterior may include a new high wing option, as well.

While General Motors has yet to announce anything official, a collection of B-roll video released with the debut of the refreshed 2026 Corvette shows what appears to be a new high wing option. As spotted by the folks at Corvette Blogger, the wing featured in the refresh video looks similar to the Z51 High Wing spoiler on offer for the C8 Stingray, but unlike the wing seen previously, this new spoiler features three raised stanchions, rather than four. The new wing also differs from the two-stanchion wing seen on the Z06 and ZR1.

While official details are still forthcoming, this new wing could be an option for the 2026 Corvette Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06. Critically, this new aero piece would also serve as the first elevated wing option for the C8 E-Ray. Check out our previous coverage for a Buyers Guide on spoiler options for the Corvette Stingray, Corvette E-Ray, and Corvette Z06.

As for the rest of the updates, the big headline is the updated interior, where we find a fresh three-screen infotainment layout that combines a 12.7-inch center display, 14-inch driver information center, and 6.6-inch auxiliary screen into a sweeping horizontal readout that surrounds the driver, lending it a fighter jet-esque feel.

Other highlights include a new asymmetrical interior color scheme that matches Jet Black with Adrenaline Red. There’s also a series of new symmetrical interior colorways, including Sky Cool & Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents, Santorini Blue, Very Dark Atmosphere, and Ultimate Suede. The 2026 ZR1 now offers a new high-performance brake package.

As GM Authority covered previously, production of the 2026 Corvette is expected to kick off on August 4th, 2025.

  • Clown car. Put a fart can muffler with that and maybe some stick on venti-ports from O’Reilly and you’ll have the perfect facsimile with some basement dwelling bro and his ‘05 Civic his grandmother gave to him to look for a job.

  • A major improvement for the 2026 rear wing would be to have the rear wing go from horizontal to vertical when the brakes are applied. A guy from Midland Texas could help GM in the design.

  • While I applaud GM/Chevy for "playing with high wing spoilers" as of late, I'm always concerned that while that "perfect rear wing design" is possible, I'm not yet able to be at peace with the final outcome. It's not that it can't be built, it's not that it can't be successfully attached to the rear of the C8...but rather that it might not be available in numbers asked for, but that it might not be available at all, which would drive all of us C8 fans right up a wall!
One more quick thought, can the tail end of the C8 be redesigned to accept a rear wing design that can be adjusted electronically (like say, a Porsche) in the near future? Or, maybe better yet, redesign the tail end of the C8 just enough so that perhaps "no rear spoiler is necessary", like some other Super Cars. Not everyone is into having a huge rear wing placed on their C8's, but I suppose if there are enough future buyers who absolutely have to have some sort of high wing design then by all means, GM, please be able to supply whatever it is that you find exciting and doable to future C8 buyers who'll gladly pay what you're probably going to charge for this new and potential rear wing design. Nothing is more maddening than to brag about something new that'll be made available (could be a rear wing design, or a new brake and wheel design, or interior upgrades ect.) and then not being able to deliver what you promissed, of course blaming "some one or some thing" that's beyond your control as to why you are not delivering to the awaiting C8 buying public.
Okay, 'nuff said...hopefully whatever the final outcome, Chevy can and will deliver. As they say, "hope springs eternal", lets all hope that Chevy will be successful this time.

  • F.Y.I electronically adjustable wings add cost, weight and take up space. BAD IDEA! That's why Tadge says the engineers have not gone down that path.

  • I must say a Corvette with 2 different color seats is one of the biggest turn offs of the year. That designer needs to find a job. Try the right color red (on both seats)to go with the exterior. Adrenaline looks good until you put it next to real red.

  • Talk about constraints, the new dash was slated to be in 2025 c8’s but didn’t make it.The only problem I have with my 2025 z06 is trying to control the havac system while driving which makes the new dash more user friendly.
