The start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 Chevy Blazer EV has been delayed, with the all-electric crossover now set to begin rolling off the assembly line on July 21st, 2025. Production will once again take place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. Dealers will be able to configure the 2026 Chevy Blazer online starting May 29th, 2025, with the first orders processed on June 12th, 2025.
The 2026 Chevy Blazer EV was originally scheduled to begin production on June 23rd, 2025, as GM Authority covered previously.
While specific details regarding the changes in store for the latest 2026 model have yet to be uncovered, the 2026 Chevy Blazer EV is expected usher in styling option tweaks such as new exterior paint options. It’s also possible the new 2026 Blazer EV may adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port as a replacement for the Combined Charging System (CCS) port used currently. GM previously said it would adopt the NACS charger across its lineup with the launch of the 2026 model year, but that change has yet to manifest.
Beyond the updates, the 2026 Blazer EV will continue to ride on the GM BEV3 platform, with GM batteries and GM drive electric motors onboard for motivation.
It’s also possible we’ll see a few pricing updates. For now, the 2025 Blazer EV starts at $46,095, which will get you the base LT trim with front-wheel drive, while the RS FWD starts at $51,395. At the top of the lineup is the high-performance Blazer EV SS, which starts at $62,095. The LT and RS are also offered with AWD, while the RS offers a RWD configuration as well. Note that these prices include a destination freight charge of $1,495, which was increased by $100 last month.
