The 2026 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing continues to reign as the most powerful and track-focused model in the CT4 lineup, with the latest model year introducing a subtle but significant update to the interior – specifically, a new standard steering wheel.
For the 2026 model year, the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is now equipped as standard with the high-performance steering wheel (RPO code BTH). The high-performance steering wheel was previously available as a $500 option for the 2025 model year.
Similar to the leather-wrapped, thick-rim steering wheel (RPO code NK4) equipped as standard for the 2025 model year, the high-performance steering wheel includes a dedicated V-Mode button, enabling quick access to performance settings. However, in addition to the V-Mode button, the performance wheel also includes a Performance Traction Management switch, carbon fiber trim, and a unique VIN serialization plaque.
Beyond the steering wheel upgrade, the 2026 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing lineup has only one other notable change, namely the removal of the Petit Pataud Special Edition. This limited edition was introduced for the 2025 model year and capped at just 50 units, serving as an homage to the 1950 Cadillac Series 61 Coupe that competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Petit Pataud features a Magnus Metal Frost paint job, Stormhawk Blue carbon fiber package, Royal Blue brake calipers, and a host of exclusive interior touches, including Jet Black/Phantom Blue and Sky Cool Gray/Phantom Blue colorways, along with laser-etched door sill plates and a unique 3D printed manual transmission shifter medallion.
Under the hood, the 2026 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing remains unchanged, once again cradling the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 engine. This powerplant delivers 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque and is available with either the Tremec six-speed manual transmission or GM 10-speed automatic onboard for cog swaps. Rear-wheel drive is once again the exclusive drive type available.
The 2026 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, with production taking place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

I wonder how many of the CT4/5 Blackwing cars actually see a track?
Cadillac/GM should bring back the CT6, add the Blackwing back to the line up or just give the US a full-sized luxury sedan capable of transporting 4-5 real sized adults with an ICE v-6 or V-8. Not a 2 seater pretending to be a 4 seater. The back seats of the CT4/5 are suitable for small children or luggage only.
