Introduced last year, the third-generation Buick Enclave brought a fresh exterior design, a cabin overhaul and an updated suite of technological and safety systems. Now, the 2026 Buick Enclave ushers in the second model year of the new-gen three-row crossover with a few changes, including a new Key Card.
Key Card holders can unlock, lock and start the vehicle without needing a traditional keyfob. To unlock the doors, users simply tap the card on the location shown at the back of it, such as the B-pillar or the door handle. Only the driver door can be unlocked with the key card. With all the doors closed and the vehicle off, tapping the card on the appropriate zone on the door will lock the vehicle. The Enclave can be started after it has been unlocked, but if we wait too long, we must unlock the vehicle again before attempting to start the engine.
The Key Card feature is standard on all 2026 Buick Enclave trim levels. Up to eight cards can be programmed per vehicle.
Other changes for the new model year include the trailering package now being fitted as standard, allowing for a 5,000-pound towing capacity on all trim levels. The 2026 Buick Enclave will also offer two new paint colors, Iridescent White Tricoat (color code G4J) and Stone Metallic (GFR), replacing White Frost Tricoat (G1W).
The start of regular production of the 2026 Buick Enclave is currently scheduled for July 14th, 2025, at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan, where the Chevy Traverse and the GMC Acadia are also built. The Enclave rides on the GM C1-2 platform and is equipped with the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 engine that develops 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission feeds power to the front wheels, or optionally to all four wheels.

More Hyundai copying. Useless feature.
Convenient feature, keep ‘em coming.
How about an Enclave with the new V8 that is coming?
That would be great. Even the current 3.6L V6 would be better than anything, “turbo.”
I’m so tired of reading about the latest GM Buick suv crap. I own a Buick LaCrosse with the 3.6 and absolutely love it, quick, quiet and trouble free.
Yes, the 3.6 LaCrosse was one of GM’s best-kept secrets.
If folks knew the future would be mediocre CUVs with fewer cylinders and worse mileage, the LaCrosse would’ve sold better.
How about a smartwatch “key fob” control system? Would love my Galaxy gear watch to be able to unlock and remote start my car! Would also be nice if GM would develop widgets for their apps!
