A few weeks after revealing 2025 GMC Yukon Denali specifications in Australia and New Zealand, General Motors has just announced the official arrival of GMC’s flagship SUV to the largest countries in Oceania.
The automaker’s General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) subsidiary in Australia and New Zealand has just launched the 2025 GMC Yukon Denali in the domestic markets of both countries, marking the model’s arrival and the introduction of GMC in that region. As such, the 2025 Yukon Denali becomes the brand’s first product to be officially offered in Oceania as a standalone offering in the full-size SUV segment.
“This is a flagship product in the truest sense of the term – an eight-seat family vehicle unrivalled in terms performance and practicality,” said GM Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Jess Bala. “There’s no better vehicle to launch the GMC brand in our market, with the Yukon Denali’s combination of potent performance, towing confidence and luxury in every seat delivering a truly unique proposition in the upper-large SUV space,” she added.
With a single top-of-the-line configuration, the 2025 GMC Yukon Denali arrives in Australia and New Zealand positioning itself in a unique, emerging segment that fills a void in the full-size SUV class with a V8 engine, best-in-class towing capacity, and seating for up to eight. It also comes standard with the model’s most advanced technology, luxury, and safety features, as well as Matrix LED lighting and 24-inch wheels, the largest on the market.
Mechanically, the 2025 GMC Yukon Denali for Australia and New Zealand is equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87 naturally aspirated engine that develops 420 horsepower and 624 Nm or 460 pound-feet of torque, coupled to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. 4WD is standard, as is an electronic limited-slip differential, along with a height-adjustable air suspension.
The 2025 GMC Yukon Denali will be available for sale this month at GMSV dealerships in Australia and New Zealand, with units manufactured at the GM Arlington plant in Texas and remanufactured in right-hand drive at the GMSV Dandenong plant in Victoria, Australia. The Yukon is the third GM full-size truck to be tailored for the Oceania market after the Chevy Silverado and Silverado HD.
