The 2025 Buick Envision represents the fifth model year of the second-generation compact crossover, for which it receives four changes. GM Authority is here to tell you everything that’s new and different about the 2025 Envision.
Model Cadence
The 2025 Buick Envision follows the the 2021 Buick Envision, which introduced the second generation of the Envision. It was followed by a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 Buick Envision.
2025 Buick Envision Model Line
The 2025 Envision continues to be offered as a compact crossover SUV across the same three trim levels as the 2024 model (production code in parentheses):
- Preferred / 1SC (4ZB26)
- Sport Touring / 1SL (4ZC26)
- Avenir / 1SUV (4ZE26)
All-wheel-drive is the only driveline option across the board.
Exterior
The only change to the 2025 Buick Envision’s exterior is the replacement of one red exterior color with another one, as Brilliant Red (GAS) replaces Cinnabar Metallic (GEJ).

Interior
GM made no changes to the 2025 Envision’s interior, which continues to feature a five-passenger seating capacity in a 2-3 (front-back) configuration.
The cabin is headlined by a 30-inch diagonal LCD screen. Introduced as part of the 2024 model year refresh, the new display spans the instrument cluster and center infotainment screen, and is standard on all trim levels.
Mechanical
Similarly, no changes are made to the Envision’s mechanicals bits, with the crossover continuing to be powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 LSY engine rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
GM’s nine-speed automatic handles shifting duty, sending the boosted ponies to the ground via a standard all-wheel-drive system.
Packages
The only remaining changes to the 2025 Buick Envision are to its packages.
First up, the Remote Vehicle Starter System (BTV) is now standard on all models. For the 2024 model year, it was offered as part of the Comfort and Convenience Package (PS1) on Preferred and Sport Touring models, while being included as standard on the Avenir trim.
Finally, the Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning system gets a new RPO code, changing from UHX to UKM.
Where To From Here?
We already know as a certainty that GM will offer the Envision for the 2026 model year. From there, we expect the current generation model to continue being offered thru the 2027 model year. The vehicle is performing well in terms of sales volume, consistently finishing in the top three best-selling nameplates in its competitive set.
What’s more, the Envision is now GM’s only remaining entry in the internal combustion C-crossover segment ever since GM discontinued the Cadillac XT4. As such, we don’t foresee GM walking away from this lucrative space any time soon, unless the import / tariff environment changes.
Comments
Here again, no 6-cylinder option. Heresy.
None of the vehicles in this segment listed offers a V6, all have turbo 4s. Reality.

Does the envision have to use premium gas
Wait… isn’t Equinox also C segment? Traverse is D, for sure. Did Alex mean Envision is GM’s only premium C segment offering?
I hate this nice car coming from China but understand GM’s need to use one global assembly line for a non mass market vehicle. Opel made things like this possible but Barra recklessly sold it to boost stock price. To think, all PSA needed to do was close one factory and rent other unutilized factory space. Envision would have been a great Opel!
