12 Corvette Stingray Indy 500 Festival Cars Heading To Dealerships Today

One of the moderators of the Facebook group “Pace car and truck owners and enthusiasts” made a recent post claiming that some of the 12 Corvette Stingray Indy 500 festival cars from last weekend’s race are heading to Chevy dealerships today. He has a source who informed him that Chevy is currently producing invoices for the cars.

The moderator also posted a photo of a Corvette window sticker that he says is for Corvette Indy 500 festival car number three. It’s a Stingray convertible with the Z51 performance package, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, a two-stanchion visible carbon fiber rear spoiler, visible carbon fiber mirror caps, Carbon flash-painted nacelles and roof, Satin Graphite wheels, black composite rocker panels, black exhaust tips, and premium floor mats. The total sticker price of the car comes to $108,015.

However, not every Corvette Indy 500 festival car is the same spec. Two Corvette models were used as on-track pace cars for the Indy 500, and they were both ZR1 models. The window sticker we just talked about is for a Stingray. This Facebook user believes that numbers two and seven were the ZR1 models used as pace cars.

The seller believes that car number one was allocated to Roger Penske, who rpceeded to offer it to “a well-known pace car collector.” If true, that’s likely a very happy collector to get their hands on such a desirable festival car.

These sports cars have dual green stripes with gold borders and custom Indianapolis 500 graphics on the doors. Bright white lettering proudly displays “Indy 500” on the doors. They’re also all convertibles finished in Arctic White paint (paint code G8G) with a Jet Black interior.

The Chevy Corvette has a long history as an Indy 500 pace car. However, the 2025 race was significant for the Corvette since it marked the return of the ZR1, the fastest American production car of all time. These festival cars already come in desirable specifications, and their rarity should help to keep up their value down the road.

  1. If they give the Misses and I good coin for our ‘09 Rondo LX with deluxe wheel covers, 132 months at 0 percent financing, I think we can swing the deal to trade. Maybe throw $2500 case back on the deal to help with the down stoke.

  2. I feel a bit dumb asking, but what is a “Rondo” ? I’ve seen that reference a couple times before in this forum.
