The GM Authority Take
GMC sales experienced a solid increase in Q1 2025, with all models except for one in the the green.
The dated GMC Savana cargo and passenger van (and cutaway) posted the highest growth rate this time around at 139 percent, moving less than 3K units, while the GMC Sierra full-size pickup family led in terms of sales volume with 77K deliveries for a 13 percent bump. The GMC Canyon midsize truck posted a healthy 66 percent swell to 9K units.
Big Red’s utilities were led by the GMC Yukon full-size SUV family, comprised of the regular-length GMC Yukon and extended-length Yukon XL, which together saw sales grow 29 percent to 23K units.
The next-generation GMC Terrain compact crossover posted the only drop in Q1 2025, falling 27 percent for 16K deliveries. This is due to a generational changeover that’s still ongoing.
But the all-new GMC Acadia, now a larger version of the three-row crossover than the generation it replaces, posted a substantial increase among utilities, growing 73 percent to 13K units.
GMC’s three all-electric models currently on sale, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and GMC Hummer EV SUV, saw a cumulative 3,479 deliveries.
