The 2025 GMC Acadia carries the crossover’s third generation forward into a new model year with several updates from the 2024 model, though the exterior paint color palette remained unchanged.
Now, White Frost Tricoat (color code G1W) is no longer available to order on the 2025Â GMC Acadia for the rest of the model year, and has been permanently retired for the future.
The final 2025 GMC Acadia units finished in White Frost Tricoat were built out during the week of April 28th, 2025 as well, meaning no further crossovers will be produced in this color. Customers who want an Acadia in this color will need to hunt an existing unit down in dealership inventory.
The White Frost Tricoat color was offered on all three trim levels of the 2025 Acadia, including the entry-level Elevation, AT4 and range-topping Denali trims. It was an extra-charge color that could be optioned at an additional $1,095, and was the most expensive paint option offered for the 2025 model year as well as the only three-coat finish.
White Frost Tricoat is expected to be replaced by Glacier White Tricoat (color code G4J) for the 2026 GMC Acadia. Glacier White Tricoat is being introduced across several GMC models for the 2026 model year, confirmed so far on the GMC Sierra EV and the 2026 GMC Terrain, which was verified as early as January of this year.
Deep Bronze Metallic (color code GXN) is also gone from the 2025 Acadia. Priced at an additional $495, it was offered on the AT4 trim level only. The final orders for Deep Bronze were accepted in early November and the color was built out after the week of December 16th, 2024. Only six paint colors are still available on the 2025 GMC Acadia.
As a reminder, the Big Red crossover is exclusively motivated by the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to a new GM eight-speed automatic transmission, with both front-wheel and all-wheel drivetrains available.
The long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform with the GM Global B electrical architecture underpins the third-gen Acadia. Production is carried out at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.
