This 2025 Chevy Equinox EV Paint Color Is No Longer Available To Order

Introducing significant incremental changes despite being only the second model year of the electric nameplate’s first generation, the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV reduces trim levels to two and sees a shakeup of the available exterior paint colors.

Now, as GM Authority has learned, the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV can no longer be ordered with the Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (color code G1W) color for the rest of the model year.

Iridescent Pearl Tricoat will be built out during the week of May 26th, 2025, and the paint color is being retired permanently from the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV palette along with those of other GM models. Iridescent Pearl was previously a $995 extra-charge option offered exclusively on the RS trim, which could be combined with the Black-painted roof (color code 41T) for an additional $495.

The Iridescent Pearl Tricoat paint will likely be replaced by another white exterior paint hue called Polar White Tricoat (color code G4J) for the 2026 model year. This paint is gradually replacing Iridescent Pearl across the Chevy portfolio. As an example, the ICE-powered 2026 Chevy Equinox will get Polar White in place of Iridescent Pearl, with a Mosaic Black roof option.

GM Authority has already detailed the range of exterior paint colors available on the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV along with its interior colorways and the various wheel styles on offer. Pricing for the 2025 Equinox EV starts at $34,995 for the LT trim, with the RS trim featuring a $44,795 base MSRP. A destination freight charge of $1,395 is included in these prices.

The 2025 Chevy Equinox EV can be configured with one of two different electric drivetrains, including front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The 2025 crossover develops more power than the first model year, cranking out 220 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque when equipped with FWD and achieving 300 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque when configured with AWD.

As a reminder, the Chevy Equinox EV uses GM batteries and GM drive motors for propulsion. The GM BEV3 platform provides the bones for the crossover under the sheet metal, while the vehicle rolls off the assembly line at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
