Alterations to the exterior paint palette and some updates to the available packages are the main changes introduced by the 2025 Chevy Blazer, which is likely to be the final model year of the ICE crossover. New info indicates one of the paint colors offered on the Blazer is now unavailable to order.
The 2025 Chevy Blazer can no longer be ordered in Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (color code G1W), with the final units in this tint expected to be built out during the week of May 25th, 2025.
In practical terms, this means that if you want a 2025 Chevy Blazer in Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, you will need to hunt an existing unit down at a dealership. As a reminder, Iridescent Pearl was offered as a $995 option on the 2LT, 3LT and Premier trim levels, while being unavailable on the RS trim. It was available in conjunction with a Black-painted roof that added another $550 to the tab.
Other Bow Tie models are also axing Iridescent Pearl Tricoat for the 2025 model year. The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 has already gotten rid of the color, while Iridescent Pearl has likewise been retired from the palette of the 2025 Chevy Equinox crossover.
Iridescent Pearl Tricoat is being eliminated from all four brands of core GM vehicles. It will be replaced by a similar new color, Polar White Tricoat (color code G4J), which goes by several other names depending on brand. Cadillac designates it as Vibrant White Tricoat; its GMC moniker is Glacier White Tricoat; while Buick has no brand name for G4J at this point in time.
Turning to the Blazer’s other features, two powerplant options are found beneath the hood, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine developing 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The GM nine-speed automatic transmission handles cog swaps for both engines.
The 2025 Chevy Blazer comes in standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. Structure is provided by the GM C1 platform under the body panels. Production of the 2025 model commenced at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico in July 2024. The Blazer is expected to be discontinued after the 2025 model year.

Iridescence is a phenomenon that’s hard to create with paint, where you see several colors from different angles, and on these vehicles was probably a misnomer. Pearlescence was a more accurate definition yet was never truly created. Bright white might have been the best description for their triple coat, in my opinion. Heck, get a regular white. It’ll still look good.
I’m really trying to wrap my head around the opportunity of being able to get a V6 engine in the Blazer, but yet you can’t get the V6 in the larger and heavier Traverse?
The Blazer is going to be discontinued this year and the V6 not long afterward. Part of gm’s winning by subtraction strategy.
(Sarcasm intended)
I like a pearl or whatever they call it white.
Don’t like that it does not add to the value when you decide to sell or trade it in.
