These Two 2025 Buick Envision Paint Colors Are No Longer Available To Order

The 2025 Buick Envision serves as the fifth model year for the latest second-generation crossover, bringing with it a number of key updates over the preceding 2024-model-year refresh. Among the updates are a few key changes to the crossover’s exterior paint color list, with Cinnabar Metallic (color code GEJ) eliminated from the list, and Brilliant Red (color code GES) hue serving as an indirect replacement. Now, GM Authority has learned that two other 2025 Buick Envision paint colors are no longer available to order.

Calypso Blue Metallic (GZC)

According to GM Authority sources, Smokey Amethyst Metallic (paint code G88) and Calypso Blue Metallic (paint code GZC) are no longer available to order for the 2025 Buick Envision. Additionally, units painted in these two colors will be built out after the week of May 26th, 2025. It’s unclear at this time if either hue will return for the 2026 model year, or if they will instead be replaced by new colors. Either way, customers looking to purchase a new 2025 Buick Envision in Smokey Amethyst Metallic or Calypso Blue Metallic should be able to find select units among dealer in-stock inventory.

With the Smokey Amethyst Metallic and Calypso Blue Metallic no longer offered for the 2025 model year, the 2025 Envision paint list now consists of the following five color options (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Brilliant Red (GES)
  • Ebony Twilight Metallic (GB8)
  • Iridescent White Tricoat (GEP)
  • Moonstone Gray Metallic (GZA)
  • Summit White (GAZ)

To note, Iridescent White Tricoat (paint code GEP) replaced White Frost Tricoat (paint code GE8) in October of the 2024 calendar year.

Mechanically speaking, the 2025 Buick Envision remains identical to the preceding 2024 model year. Under the hood, you’ll find the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which delivers a maximum of 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The GM nine-speed automatic transmission routes power to all four wheels, with all-wheel drive included as standard across all three trims. The Envision continues to ride on the GM E2 platform, with production taking place at the GM-SAIC Jinqiao facility in China.

  1. Thank goodness these horrible colors are no longer available. You gotta wonder who made the decision to offer them in the first place. The purple never did well on the Envision when it was first offered in the late teens, and it’s impossible to see one on the road because it was so unpopular. And the blue….I can only describe it as “vulgar” and unsophisticated. Caddy and Chevy have beautiful and elegant colors including currently very popular hues of green. Come on Buick, update your colors!

  2. The pictures don’t do these justice. Both of these colors are actually quite nice in person.

  3. I planned on buying an Avenir trim until 47 levied those massive tariffs on China. Now, plan B is to buy a ’26 Terrain AT4 or Denali.

    1. GM has not raised the prices of these and there are still 24’s and 25’s on the lot from before the tariffs were imposed. The Terrain is made in Mexico. You have a well thought out plan

  5. The wife loves the Amethyst. We will never own a white or grey version of a vehicle. I love the Titanium Rush on my Sierra 😉
