There’s A New Chevy Corvette Z06 For Sale In Austria And Guess How Much It Costs

The Chevy Corvette may be America’s Sports Car, but that doesn’t mean overseas fans don’t want a piece of the action as well. Lucky for them, the eight-generation C8 Corvette, including the C8 Corvette Z06, is now available in continental Europe. That said, this thing isn’t exactly cheap.

Price tag for a Chevy Corvette Z06 on sale in Austria.

As it turns out, GM Authority recently found one brand-new Chevy Corvette Z06 3LZ Coupe for sale in Austria, listed for – wait for it – 349,576 euros, or about US$395,000 at current exchange rates.

Indeed, nearly $400,000 for a new C8 Z06 does seem rather steep, especially when compared to pricing here in the U.S., where GM has given the top-spec C8 Z06 3LZ Coupe a starting MSRP of $127,545. Add in the fact that the Euro-spec Z06 is down on power compared to the standard U.S.-spec Z06 (646 horsepower for the Austrian Z06 featured here versus 670 horsepower for U.S.-spec models), and well, that four-hundred grand figure is looking a bit stiff.

Nevertheless, for European buyers unaccustomed to seeing the Crossed Flags badge on public roads, the rarity of owning a new C8 Z06 may be worth the eye-watering price tag.

Meanwhile, back on these shores, it’s looking as though all C8 Corvette prices are finally starting to fall. In fact, late last year, some dealers were even offering discounts on new units of the C8 Z06 and C8 E-Ray, which stands in stark contrast to the steep markups seen on new units just a few years ago. In fact, back in 2022, GM Authority covered one dealer who was asking for $100,000 over MSRP for a new 2023 Corvette Z06.

As a reminder, the C8 Corvette Z06 is powered by the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, while under the skin, all C8 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform. Vehicle production takes place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant, which is located in Kentucky.

  1. Your article is misleading, this price is more likely due to tariffs imposed by by Europe on US Cars than exchange rate. Today’s (4-16-2025) exchange rate is $1.14 to 1 Euro.

  4. There’s no tariff or VAT that’s 300%. Yes, it would have been nice if the article gave some insight to the high price. Of course that good ‘ol American hunk of aluminum and composites will keep up with most ,$400,000 euro cars.
