There Are Still Plenty Of New Cadillac XT4 Units Left For Sale At U.S. Dealers

While the subcompact luxury Cadillac XT4 crossover has been discontinued, plenty of new units are still available on dealership lots as of mid-April 2025, giving shoppers the opportunity to acquire one or more of the vehicles while they’re still in stock.

Lackluster sales combined with Cadillac‘s push to electrify its entire lineup ahead of the general GM schedule have led to the Cadillac XT4 being shelved in favor of the new Cadillac Optiq EV.

Currently, there are about 5,000 new Cadillac XT4 units still available on U.S. dealer lots according to Cadillac’s inventory tracker. This is roughly equal to the number of XT4 crossover sold each quarter on average in recent quarters, meaning the current supply should last at least three months – into the middle of summer 2025 – and quite possibly longer.

Looking further into the breakdown of the remaining vehicles reveals that:

Additionally, the lower cost Luxury trim level appears to be nearly sold out, with the trim level mix currently consisting of the following:

  • 1.7 percent are Luxury units
  • 64.8 percent are Premium Luxury units
  • 33.5 percent are Sport units

The remaining XT4 crossovers at dealerships seem to be about evenly split between front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles. Some of them are sold as courtesy vehicles and as a result are priced at well under MSRP. Over one hundred of the current XT4 crossovers are priced below $40,000.

The XT4 was the most affordable Cadillac crossover, though with the maximum loadout of the priciest options, the most expensive XT4 that could be built was priced at $61,838 for a Sport trim vehicle equipped with AWD. Production of all XT4 variants ceased in January 2025, ending the vehicle just after the introduction of the mid-cycle refresh for its first generation.

The GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City where the XT4 was produced is undergoing retooling in preparation for production of the next-generation Chevy Bolt EV, with the Bow Tie electric vehicle likely to debut  for the 2026 model year in summer or autumn of this year.

  1. 5000 is a 3 month supply. Yes it will slow down as options deplete and the car is relegated to the back of the lot.
