A recent report has identified the GMC Sierra pickup as the best-selling vehicle in the state of Arkansas. The Ford F-Series was the second best-selling vehicle in Arkansas, followed by the Chevy Silverado, Ram 1500/2500/3500, and Honda CR-V. Arkansas was the only state where the GMC Sierra was the top-seller in 2024. Notably, the GMC Sierra failed to make the best-seller list by state prior to the 2022 calendar year.

The insight was provided by Edmunds, which recently published a list of the top-selling vehicles in the U.S., breaking it all down by state. Edmunds based its findings on IHS Markit data, specifically retail vehicle registrations to individuals. The data did not include rental sales or governmental body registration, and only included new vehicle registration.
According to the Edmunds report, the Ford F-Series was the best-selling vehicle in the U.S last year, followed by the Chevy Silverado 1500 and Tesla Model Y taking up the number-two and number-three spots on the 10-best list, respectively. The Toyota RAV4 was ranked fourth, while the Honda CR-V rounds out the top five. Moving down the list, we find the GMC Sierra in the number-six spot, with the Toyota Camry at number seven, the Ram 1500/2500/3500 at number eight, the Honda Civic at number nine, and the Tesla Model 3 at number 10.
With regard to the top-selling makes, Edmunds reports that Toyota sold the highest volume of vehicles last year, followed by Ford, Chevy, Honda, and Hyundai. The Toyota RAV4 was also recognized as the “top selling SUV” in seven U.S. states. The Tesla Model Y was the best-selling EV, and the top-selling vehicle in four states. Hawaii also stood out as the only state in which the Toyota Tacoma was the number-one best-seller.
Also of note is the Chevy Trax, which made the list of top-sellers for 2024 as an entry in the top-five vehicles sold in the state of Oklahoma.

The Silverado 1500 has been the best selling vehicle in my state (Indiana) for a few years. Of course we build a lot of them here too, in Ft. Wayne.
The Gmc Sierra is not made in Canada even though it continually outsells the Silverado in Canada. Just the crew cab Silverado with V8 and Silverado HD crew cab are made in Canada. Canada imports more vehicles from the U.S than it exports.
Just think. I fought, killed communism Chinese like flies, and nearly froze to death so that the Koreans could build and sell their little 💩 box vehicles in the good ole USA while younger Americans smoke dope, live on welfare and disability, vape their lungs out, and play video games built in Red China.
