David Hill became the new CEO of the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky in March. However, following a wave of enthusiasts criticizing the appointment because of Hill’s controversial management of an aftermarket truck parts supplier, Corvette Blogger confirms that David Hill has resigned as the Corvette Museum CEO. He’s already been replaced by Bryce Burklow, a 15-year Corvette Museum alumnus who was previously the interim Chief Operating Officer.
The folks at Corvette Blogger reported that David Hill took the reins of Mar-K in Oklahoma City in 2016. Mar-K was a parts firm founded in the 1970s specializing in classic American pickup trucks that suddenly and mysteriously shut down under Hill’s leadership. “Apparently, Mar-K is no longer in business. Anyone know why?” reads a Facebook post on a 1947-1955 Chevy Trucks enthusiast page.
The post attracted comments from dissatisfied Mar-K customers citing cases of unfulfilled orders. A consistent theme shows claims that orders made as far back as 2024 have already been billed but haven’t been fulfilled. Some customers say they got their money back after threatening legal action, while others are left wondering if they’ll ever get the parts they ordered and paid for.
“With David Hill as the newly appointed CEO, you’d be crazy to invest any money with the Corvette museum in any way considering what he’s done to people with his previous business,” one commenter said on a recent National Corvette Museum Facebook post. “Go ahead and look up Mar-K Specialized Manufacturing or mar_k_quality on Instagram and read the comments. Is this the person you want in charge National Corvette Museum?”
The National Corvette Museum initially issued this statement when reached for comment by Corvette Blogger: “The National Corvette Museum was very recently made aware of social media allegations concerning David Hill. These allegations are not related to any activities or functions connected to the Museum. We take matters of this nature very seriously. Out of respect for all individuals involved, we are currently reviewing the situation internally to determine any appropriate next steps. As always, the Museum remains committed to upholding the integrity and values of our organization and community. We will provide updates if and when appropriate.”
The Corvette Museum said the following in a separate statement to its membership a day later: “We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition. The high level of interest and engagement from our Members and the Corvette community has been a powerful reminder of how much this institution means to so many.”

A hole too big to dig out of?
Well played, sir.
Wrong David Hill. Two different guys. Dave Hhill is a former GM Engineer and NCM Hall of Fame member. David Hill is the former CEO of Mar-K and recently ousted CEO of NCM.
This is not the same David Hill that was the Chief Engineer for the C5 and C6 Corvette programs.
Need to make sure to fact check such things before posting an article that disparages the wrong person.
This article needs to be corrected fast, or just taken down. David Hill, the Corvette chief engineer, is NOT the David Hill of Mar-K.
Can you say, “background check”? Apparently not.
Exactly right! What happened to a little research, or looking at former accomplishments, or blunders? This is 2025 and it’s easier than ever for someone to be checked. I say it’s laziness and someone else also needs to be fired. Also yes, identify the right person!
Talk about a mountain out of a Dave Hill. 😁
Where do all these scumbags come from? We seem to have our unfair share these days.
They have our backs and they say what we are thinking. It’s better than having a Black Woman as head. Thats DEI. We hate that. 34 felonies is ok.
Keep up the good work, Mary .
