The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a stupendous high-performance luxury sedan. As the spiritual successor to the iconic Cadillac CTS-V, the Blackwing impresses with a supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 producing 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, a standard 6-speed manual transmission, and a predictably luxurious interior.

The starting price of the CT5-V Blackwing is $96,990. The most expensive option package is the Le Monstre Special Edition package (RPO ZLZ), which is kind of like its own trim commemorating the brand’s racing history in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It costs $32,500 and adds the following:
- Tinted Blue Carbon Fiber 1 and 2 Packages (CFZ, CFV)
- Magnus Metal Frost exterior paint (GBL)
- Blue Brembo brake calipers (J6B)
- Gloss Black nameplates (RIK)
- Black lug nuts and wheel locks (SPY, SPZ)
- Unique front sill plates (C3Q)
- Santorini seat belts (37V)
Another pricey option package is the Precision Package (V8V), which costs $18,000 and adds carbon ceramic brakes, extensive suspension upgrades, and new calibration for the MagneRide dampers, steering chassis control, and electronic limited-slip differential.
For those who prioritize the quickest possible shifts over driving engagement, the available 10-speed automatic transmission (MHX) adds $3,675 to the price. Other performance options include the Performance Data and Video Recorder (UQT) for $2,600 and 19-inch alloy wheels with performance summer tires (RHL) for $1,500.
Luxury options include the Super Cruise 1 Package (WK7) for $2,600, an Ultraview power sunroof (C3U) for $1,450, and the Parking Package (Y6L) for $710.
Then there’s a fairly extensive list of dealer-installed LPO options available for the CT5-V Blackwing. A few of the pricier ones include an Interior Protection Package (LPO PDH), premium carpeted floor mats (LPO VYW), black mirror caps (LPO 5JS), and a Battery Protection Package (LPO 5WF).
Add it all up, and the price of a fully loaded 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing comes to $165,123. That’s a significant jump over the Blackwing’s 5-digit base price and firmly in the pricing territory of more expensive European rivals like the BMW M5 and Audi RS 7.
Comments
Still worth it. Best thing GM has made since….well forever. Definitely don’t get the automatic though.
Lots of gadgets that no one will be able to fix in a few years, but where’s the quality? A nice four door Corvette, but not a Cadillac.
This vehicle is not a Corvette. Even the powertrain is significantly re-engineered from the Supercharged Corvette motor.
hugely overpriced
I’ll take two!
Way overpriced! But some schmuck will pay it. Wonder why prices won’t go down.
