How Much Is The Most Expensive 2025 Buick Envision?

The 2025 Buick Envision is in the second model year of a thorough refresh, which included an aesthetic makeover inspired by the Buick Wildcat EV concept, a 30-inch infotainment display, and updated technology. It’s a good value at the base level with a starting price of $37,895, but today, we’re looking at what this premium compact crossover costs when fully loaded in the Avenir trim.

As the small table above demonstrates, there aren’t a whole lot of options you can add to the Buick Envision Avenir. In fact, the only factory option is premium paint, specifically, White Frost Tricoat (code GE8), with a modest added cost of $600. The same paint option is available for the Preferred and Sport Touring trims for $1,095.

From there, the Envision Avenir only has one wheel option, which is a tasteful set of 20-inch alloy wheels with a Pearl Nickel finish (RPO RTH). All three trims of the Envision have one set of wheels available. There are two interior color options: Ebony with Ebony accents (H1Y) and Cool Gray with Slate Blue accents (H9K), neither of which adds to the price tag.

A short list of dealer-installed LPO options includes wheel locks (SFE) for $125, a highway safety kit (S08) for $150, and a front license plate mounting package (VK3) for $53.

The grand total for a loaded 2025 Buick Envision comes to $48,523. In typical Buick fashion, even a fully loaded model is still a pretty strong value compared to a comparably equipped crossover in the same class from a more prestigious luxury brand.

However, a steep 145-percent tariff on China could change the fate of the Buick Envision, which is built exclusively at the GM-SAIC Jinqiao Plant in China. It’s unlikely that GM will try to market the Envision in the U.S. with a six-digit price tag. The more realistic courses of action include a modest price bump, changing the crossover’s country of origin, or discontinuing it in the U.S. altogether.

The 2025 Buick Envision is underpinned by the GM E2 platform, which used to be shared with the Cadillac XT4 and Chevy Malibu before they were discontinued. Those platform-mates used to be built at the Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas, but that’s currently being retooled for 2026 Chevy Bolt production, so we don’t anticipate Envision production moving to Kansas.

In any case, anyone considering a Buick Envision for their next ride would be wise to check out existing Envision inventory at U.S. dealerships sooner rather than later.

  4. Just bought Envision Avenir. Better than an Equinox, comparable and less than an XT4. There are a couple discounts to be had. It helps.

    1. I agree. The only beneficiaries of GM’s Made in China or Made in Mexico sourcing are Barra and the shareholders. They get rich off of the low wage employees but none of the cost savings are ever passed on to the consumers.

      At $50,000, the Envision could easily and profitably be built Flint, Michigan or any other American town.

      1. The main difference is Quality. American union assembly and quality is low to mediocre. Asians don’t know how to build Cars as crappy as union made USA products.

      2. I have many GM’s and Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Ford, Dodge, and more, and overall the GM vehicles were as good or better than any of the others. At this point I have two Cadillacs. A 2017 and a 2018. which are the oldest car I have had. No repairs on either. I do maintain all my cars well.I have driven many new cars, thinking of getting a new one, but none seem to be worth the standards their name represents.

  10. I like the exterior look but not crazy about the 30” virtual dashboard. That’s probably the deal breaker for me. I prefer buttons and switches plus they’re safer. I hate the touch screen radio controls in my wife’s Equinox. I have to look at it to make changes. In my older Silverado I can make all of the adjustments by feel and never take my eyes off of the road. Plus I hate having to Google how to change things because the system is not intuitive.

    1. You can also use voice commands. “Tune to XM [channel number]”. “Tune to FM [frequency #]|, etc. You can also use the volume up and down buttons on the steering wheel to change the volume. Not everything needs to be done via the touchscreen.

  12. What is on that screen that’s 30 inches away from the driver? That’s pretty distracting to have the driver looking over at info on a screen 30 inches away. Does this car require a copilot?

    1. The 30″ starts on the left side of the steering wheel which is about 15″ wide and extends to the center console. So it’s replacing your radio, and can also display maps and Spotify. It’s also where you would bring up the car diagnostics like tire pressure or set preferences or things like collision avoidence features and driving modes when you are stationary.

    1. It’s not that simple, David. Buick always ranks in the top of the dependability studies (above GM’s other brands), their sales currently are up 39% (their day-supply of vehicles is down to 82 days), they ranked second in the JD Power 2024 U.S. Sales Satisfaction Index Study, they were first in the Mass Market JD Power Service Satisfaction Survey, and they are among the brands with the lowest ownership costs. Also, for example, their latest new vehicle in the U.S., the Buick Envista, won a Strategic Vision 2024 Total Quality Award and placed in 2024 Wards 10 Best Interiors and Lux Winner. Meanwhile, Buick China has just shown a new concept vehicle, the Buick Electra GS, that points the way for their future.

  14. Why not build this vehicle here at the same factory that build the XT4/ Malibu and kick the Bolt out of the factory. Then keep the XT4/ Malibu and revise the styling etc. Makes more sense.
