Among other changes and updates to the truck nameplate introduced by the new model year, the 2025 Chevy Colorado interior colors get reshuffled somewhat compared to 2024. Here’s a complete guide to the available Chevy Colorado interior colorways for 2025.
In all, there are seven Chevy Colorado interior colorways, with Jet Black predominating as a color but several variants of seat upholstery material thrown in to provide more options. The images here show all the variations for your viewing pleasure:
WT
LT
Trail Boss
Z71
ZR2
Looking over the 2025 Chevy Colorado interior colorways on offer, several utilize cloth upholstery, while others feature Evotex. This is the Chevy branding for GM’s synthetic seating material offering soft touch, durability, and easy cleaning with stain and spill resistance, while remaining lightweight and offering a low carbon footprint. Finally, several Chevy Colorado interior configurations use perforated leather.
The WT and Trail Boss trims share the same standard interior colorway, while each of the LT, Z71, and ZR2 trim levels get a unique interior treatment. There are no standalone Chevy Colorado interior colors for 2025, but several optional packages include a special colorway, as the chart below summarizes:
Interior | Seat Trim | Color Code | WT | LT | Trail Boss | Z71 | ZR2 |

While the 2025 Chevy Colorado interior options are somewhat reshuffled, there are also some other significant changes, too. For the exterior, three paint colors are dropped for 2025 while three new ones are added to replace them. The Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2 trims get a new Midnight Edition package (RPO code WJP) that can be selected for $3,825 to $4,275.
Also new for 2025 is the WT Custom Package (RPO code ST0), including blacked-out badging and high-gloss black 18-inch aluminum wheels (RPO code PZX) wrapped in all-season tires. This package, which costs an additional $1,145, has been shown in detail in a GM Authority post on the subject.
GM hiked prices across the board by $1,350 to $3,600 depending on trim to cover new standard features added to the pickup. A sliding rear window (RPO code A28), a rear defogger (C49) and cruise control (K34) have been added to the Trail Boss, while the Z71 trim gets close to a dozen new features including the StowFlex tailgate (BPC).
Leather upholstery is now standard on the ZR2 trim Chevy Colorado interior, while, on the exterior, the hood now sports a prominent TurboMax badge. Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RPO code UFB), Rear Park Assist (UD7) and Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailering (UKW) are among new ZR2 safety tech additions, while owners can also enjoy a heated steering wheel (RPO code KI3) in cold weather.
The starting MSRP for the 2025 Colorado starts at $33,595 for the RWD WT trim or $36,895 with 4WD and climbs to $51,295 for the ZR2, The official configurator is live on the Bow Tie’s website to try out builds and prices.
The previously standard turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, was retired this year by GM, with the Turbo High-Output 2.7L I4 L3B engine the only current choice. It offers 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with the GM 8-speed automatic transmission.
The updated 31XX-2 platform continues to underpin the 2025 Colorado, while the model rolls off the production line exclusively at the GM Wentzville Assembly Plant in Missouri.

Turning the interior color of “Black” into an article takes some imagination.
I sure hope GM gets off this black interior kick before they go bankrupt. I thought you needed an imagination to be a car designer.
gm’s interior color choices on trucks are pathetic, especially on the trucks that are not top-of-the-line. What is driving this basic marketing blunder? Bullheadedness? Incompetence? Complacency? FU customer, mindset?
You want choice, go to the competition, seems to be gm’s mantra. And they are. Taco’s sales are double what the combined sales of gm’s two mid-size are. The Tacoma offers 2 cab sizes, 2 bed lengths, 12 exterior colors (3 of them two tone), interior seat colors of; black (accents of grey, white, blue, or tan), grey, tan, and red. Plus a Hybrid option, another costly gm mistake.
But, hey we have 12 different gm EV’s to choose from, whose combined sales do not yet equal that of the mid-size gm trucks.
Mary needs to admit she was wrong on her “All in on EVs” and pivot the company or she should be replaced.
EV Blazer AND EV Equinox? Pick one. You are splitting a tiny market. The savings would pay for many needed improvements on gm trucks.
Black is black.
Based on what we’ve seen so far, Mary will not be replaced for performance issues. Given all the disastrous product launches like the Colorado or Lyriq, the Cruise debacle, Ultium product delays and the EV products developed with no apparent market like electric pickups. There’s also the ongoing serious software issues with Ultifi and the buybacks because of it. Then there’s all the wild sales proclamations she made that were not met. There’s also the China disaster with so much invested there and a collapsing market than anyone should’ve seen coming. All of these things and much more are grounds for a no-confidence vote. Despite these failings though, the Board apparently has no appetite to remove her, perhaps because of her gender.
However GM has a mandatory retirement age of 65 which she’ll meet next year on Christmas Eve. Thus, she’s got about 18 months left. Of course I suppose that could be waived but I don’t think that’s ever been done before and for all the reasons outlined above, it shouldn’t be.
COME ON GM. Get some lighter colored interior colors. I get SOOOO TIRED of BLACK.
I strongly prefer to never have to buy another vehicle with black interior.
I have had several and hated everyone of them. At night it is very difficult to find anything inside and hot during the day.
It is time to build what the customers want.
I have my last GM Colly with a black interior. If GM doesn’t begin offering some lighter colors I’ll go elsewhere. Black is too damn hot in the summer and you can’t readily see things in the cab at night even with dome lights on.
Hmmmm… I wonder if my next Colorado will offer me the choice of a black interior?
Really only need one picture.
