The GM Authority Take
GM Mexico sales rebounded from the setback experienced in February, enabling the automaker to end the first quarter in the green and with stable market share in the Latin American country. All four of the company’s brands saw an uptick in sales last month, driven once again by the lower volume but higher margin premium brands Cadillac, Buick, and GMC.
A number of vehicles saw healthy gains during March, some reaching quadruple-digit growth rates. The best-selling Chevy Aveo was the primary driver of volume, delivering a strong 40 percent year-over-year increase to deliver nearly 1,750 additional units compared to the same month in 2024. The subcompact vehicle offset the significant loss suffered by the Chevy Silverado, thereby strengthening its position as the company’s best-selling model in the Mexican market.
Also worth highlighting are impressive commercial performance of the Chevy Captiva, Chevy Groove and Chevy Tornado Van, which added over 1,500 additional sales in March. Likewise, the three-row large crossovers from Chevrolet, Buick and GMC – the Traverse, Enclave and Acadia, respectively – experience notable improvements thanks to the overhauled models.

Comments
Stephen Miller at best ignorant or at worst lying when he said that American cars are not seen on foreign roads. They may not be cars sold in American showrooms, but different models for different applications and markets. I’m not sure an Aveo would do well here. Ford and GM cars are all over the world.
America is a dreadful place to be for me economically. Prices are sky rocketing, gas is going up and I lost my income streams and a grant I worked under was cancelled. I feel like seeking asylum in Mexico. I feel very freightened and scared in America. I can probably live without fear in democratic Mexico and have one of those new cars in the article.
You are betraying the U.S. by thinking that way. Mexico is part of America, so every GM vehicle assembled and sold in Mexico is American. I live in America but not in the continental U.S. and I am much better than you..
You can’t push away or deny my feelings. I am very freighted right now and feel the US might deport me and or harm me. I am uncomfortable living in the US. Look at that Maryland father. Trump is defying a court order. We are all at risk of being deported or jailed. I was freighted yesterday when I saw a CBP squad car pass me on the Interstate.
