The 2025 Chevy Trax debuts the second model year for the nameplate’s second generation, ushering in a few critical updates and changes over the all-new, next-generation 2024 Chevy Trax. That includes two new paint colors and an E85-compatible engine, making it a flex fuel-capable vehicle. Here’s everything that’s new and different for the 2025 Trax.

The Trax 2RS adds a convenience feature starting in February, namely a new eight-way power driver seat adjuster with two-way power lumbar support.

The Trax’s turbocharged 1.2L I3 LBP engine develops 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 to 4,000 rpm. Notably, the 2025 Trax is not capable of towing a trailer.

  1. Irrelevant since they’re all imported and sales are now dead.

    1. I knew you’d be the only one to comment, with yet another irrelevant post. Sales aren’t dead – and vehicles here aren’t affected by ongoing trade concerns. Besides, your Encore GX was imported too.

  2. I’ll bet that gold unit at the top is popular in Pittsburgh.

  3. I live in Steelers Country and world take that gorgeous gold Trax in a heartbeat!

    1. There’s at least 26 in that color within 100 miles of Pittsburgh, using GM’s search tool. Go get ya’ one and report back.

  4. I like the yellow paint.

  5. In order to get the yellow paint, you have to jump up one model for $2,000. This will also get heated seats and I’m not sure what else. The paint is $395 which is ok because different colors can cost more to produce. So, in short, just to get yellow paint, the vehicle will cost 10% of the base price. Why I need to jump up one model AND pay extra for paint I don’t understand. Things like this are why each day I find myself disliking GM more and more. To their defense though, they aren’t the only ones that play this game. Things like this have taken the fun out of car buying.
