About Chevrolet BrightDrop
GM continues to expand the BrightDrop’s capabilities with the launch of the forthcoming 2026 model year. As previously reported, the 2026 Chevy BrightDrop lineup will introduce a third battery option, namely a 16-module pack providing 206 miles of range, slotting between the Standard Range 14-module pack with 176 miles of range and the Max Range 20-module pack with 286 miles of range.
Motor performance remains unchanged for the 2026 model year. Units of the BrightDrop 400 and 600 equipped with front-wheel drive continue to incorporate a single-motor powertrain setup generating 233 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. Comments
GM should absolutely offer that body on a Silverado chassis with an ICE drive train. They could make a killing on them. They could offer 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton with their full range of engines and transmissions in addition to the electric version. GM is really missing the boat here. Come on GM where’s the innovation? Get outside of your sandbox! This could help save the investment on this loser. These would make great RV conversions. Sell me a body and I’ll do it myself.
Yes I agree put a ICE in because a lot of places in Georgia still do not have electric charging station. what is the range on this? I have one customer who is 53 miles one way and if I have to stop and charge it cost me more money than just the charging fee. Why not put a small ICE turning a charger and make it rear wheel drive electric. Now we are cooking with gas and now you can go anywhere with it. Trains are running on the tracks with an ICE and electric motors every day. Ram is going to do this with the 1500 pickup.
$25.5 off equals can’t give them away. Meanwhile, refusing to meet customer demand for Express and Savana. Building what “we want you to buy” will lead to market loss. ICE Charger back soon due to total failure of EV Charger , maybe even new Cuda. Then we will get article here that gm has no model to compete with either.
$25.5 thousand off that is.
A Chevy Express Cargo with a V8 and more options is badly need in the repair business. My V6 2023 is okay for light duty repairs but needs the torque and power of a V8. Have told my dealer I will trade tomorrow for a new V8 model. He said I would have a better chance becoming president.
Sad but true, GM has been making dumb decisions for a while now.
