Chevrolet Chile Sales Fell 11 Percent In March 2025

Chevrolet Chile sales decreased 11 percent to 1,414 units in March 2025. The figures place Chevrolet as the fifth country’s best-selling automobile brand during the month, behind Suzuki, Toyota, Hyundai and Kia.

Chilean auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Chevy model sales performance (for models for which sales data is available) was as follows:

In addition to the models specified, Chevrolet also markets the following vehicles in Chile:

During the first three months of the 2025 calendar year, Chevrolet Chile sales decreased 12.5 percent to 4,255 units.

The GM Authority Take

Chevrolet Chile sales fell in March, further exacerbating the Bow Tie’s negative performance in the local market. Chevy’s double-digit decline represents the brand’s third consecutive monthly drop in local sales volume, completing the first quarter of the 2025 calendar year entirely in the red.

A good number of Chevrolet Chile models suffered sales drops in March between four and 19 percent, which together sapped almost 180 units from the brand’s total volume on a year-over-year basis. In addition to the N400 minibus, which suffered the biggest decline, the Chevy Groove had a significant contraction that sapped nearly 100 units in volume during the month. Even so, the entry-level crossover remained the brand’s most popular model in the Chilean market.

Meanwhile, the Chevy Sail and Chevy Montana experienced less pronounced declines in March, which did not impact the bottom line as much as drops posted by the N400 and Groove. In fact, the Sail subcompact car was able to maintain positive numbers for the quarter.

In contrast, the Bow Tie’s commercial truck line and the Chevy Silverado full-size pickup truck managed to finish March in the green, continuing their hot streaks from the beginning of the year. Finally, the Chevy Colorado added healthy volume.
