Cadillac has taken yet another bold step into the world of EVs with the debut of the Cadillac Escalade IQT, expanding the all-electric Escalade IQ lineup with a new pickup truck body style. Offering a mix of high-end luxury and surprising functionality, the new Escalade IQT looks to rival the Tesla Cybertruck in the high-end EV pickup segment, promising more range, improved amenities, and fewer finger-slicing sharp edges. Official pricing figures are still forthcoming, but expect a number around the $150,000 range.
In terms of design, the new Cadillac Escalade IQT takes after the all-electric Escalade IQ SUV, but reconfigures the cargo area into a pickup truck bed. The roof plunges down at the C-pillar, creating a look somewhat reminiscent of the cult-favorite Chevy Avalanche. Customers are offered the same palette of exterior paint choices as the 2026 Escalade IQ, including Magnus Metal Frost matte finish, which should do well to hide errant bits of mud and dirt should you choose to leave the pavement.
With regard to features, the tailgate opens automatically, as do the doors – and that’s to be expected, given anyone with the funds to purchase a $150,000 luxury truck should gain entry without lifting a finger, no? Cadillac’s engineers also say the IQT can tow a yacht, although they declined to specify the exact size.
Inside, the Escalade IQT features an Executive Rear Lounge Package, which includes a single swiveling captain’s chair covered in Napa leather, plus ambient lighting and an infotainment command center to help you relax while your driver takes you to your destination. Optional add-ons include a heated cargo bed liner and a built-in espresso machine, perfect for jobsite lattes.
As for motivation, the IQT packs the same 205 kWh battery as the Escalade IQ. That means no awkward range extender boxes in the bed like in the Cybertruck. Cadillac claims an estimated range of “more than enough to get to Whole Foods and back.”
“We believe the Escalade IQT redefines what it means to be both productive and pampered,” said James Moth, Cadillac VP of Electrified Excess. “It’s the only truck that can haul compost and host a wine tasting in the same afternoon.”
By the way, Happy April Fools’ Day, everyone.

Good one!! LMAO
Looks better than Cyber truck.
The old Yugo looks better than the cyber truck.
I hear the 3.8L V8-powered Impala SS is coming back too! 😉
No diesel?
I was waiting for this! Lol especially since GMI no longer does April fools stories!
Sad part of this joke, it would probably sell better than some of the other Cadillac models released recently.
This is plausible enough to not be an April Fool’s joke. Cadillac haa already done a similar vehicle.
It ain’t bad looking…maybe and IQT would be such a bad idea!
Think about it, GM no longer has a simple, common man vehicle. Not one.
Chevy Trax, Chevy trailblazer, Chevy equinox. Buick encore GX, Buick Envista, Buick Envision. GMC terrain.
Chevy Equinox EV, An upcoming replacement for the Chevy Bolt. The Equinox EX is $35,000-$7500. The replacement for Bolt should be no higher base price that $30,000 with a $7500/rebate.
I don’t understand why there is such a negative opinion of GM on boards. People have these negative opinions but have no clue what GM is.
yet, they post negative on boards. Facts man. Get the facts. Why should anyone want to hear a negative opinion from a negative person.
another pickup ? yeah, indeed a sedan is april jokes
I’m glad they are making this. I’d love to have a Escalade pick-up. I hear the EV gets great gas mileage. Hope it comes with a long bed option.
Sure looks better than the ugly truck, err.. cybertruck.
Bet it would outsell it too. At least to the more liberal buyers!
BTW, It should also come with a jar of grey poupon!!
Hey, look, I bought a truck!! OOOOOK.
Well, that Escaladed quickly. I’ll show myself out.
Awww Bullsh*t!! This just popped up on my feed today, so I thought it was real, till I read the part about the espresso machine lol! Damn that would have been cool!
Uglier than the Cybertruck. Never thought that would be possible. Why is the hood 2x longer than the bed?
