A recent incident in Miami Beach, Florida has resulted in damage to a C8 Corvette after the mid-engine sports car was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident with a Chevy Camaro.
According to a report by local Fox News affiliate WSVN-TV, the incident took place near 15th and Collins. Security camera footage captured at the scene show a red convertible run into a black C8 parked near an adjacent street.
The C8 owner had apparently just arrived for work when the crash happened. In the security camera footage, we see the C8 driver exit his car and approach the driver in the red convertible, asking him to wait so that the two could exchange information. Instead, the driver allegedly refused and drove away from the scene.
Determined not to let him get away, the Corvette owner quickly called 911 and began following the Camaro through the streets of South Beach. As he followed the red drop-top, the C8 owner also recorded video while relaying information to emergency dispatchers.
“He’s trying to leave the crime scene right now,” the C8 owner told dispatchers, as seen in the video.
Eventually, police arrived and began tailing the red convertible, ordering the driver to stop. The Camaro driver eventually pulled over at Washington Avenue and 14th Street. Meanwhile, the C8 owner continued to film, capturing the encounter between police and the Camaro driver.
“You should’ve never left, champ!” the C8 owner is heard yelling at the Camaro driver.
Police initially ticketed the Camaro driver for the accident, but did not file criminal charges, saying that they had no probable cause for leaving the scene of the accident. The Camaro driver apparently told police that he didn’t initially realize that he had hit the Corvette, something that the C8 strongly disagrees with.
The security footage has now been handed over to Miami Beach Police and will be used as evidence in a follow-up investigation by the accident investigations unit.

I’m sure the Demonic-crats will find a creative way to blame President Trump.
Politics are relevant how? If you want to go that route, plenty of fascist Republicans commit crimes. Dennis Hastert diddled little boys when he was a wrestling coach. Let’s not go there for a story about a hit and run that has ZERO to do with politics.
No, Trump is safe on this one, everyone knows that lard ass couldn’t fit behind the wheel of either of those vehicles.
The camaro driver has already told mElonhead he’ll buy a cybertruck if president musk gives him a pardon.
Even worse after his C8 was hit, he is now driving an electric mustang. Poor guy
