The automaker announced the launch of the new 2025 Chevy Express Max in Mexico, confirming that the all-new midsize minivan is now on sale in that country with the goal of boosting the business of small and medium-sized companies. The Express Max sets a new standard in the cargo van segment, thanks to its unique exterior, spaciousness, and cargo capacity, as well as the most comprehensive list of interior features in its class.

“The Chevrolet Express Max meets the highest expectations of our commercial van customers, offering a unique proposition that combines design, performance, and capacity to take your business to the next level by focusing on the needs of modern businesses,” said Chevrolet Marketing Manager at GM Mexico, Ángel Pacheco.

As we previously highlighted, the new 2025 Chevy Express Max is offered in a single, well-equipped variant that stands out in its segment for its wealth of technology and comfort for up to three passengers. The 12.3-inch infotainment system touchscreen stands out, offering tools designed to meet business objectives and other features that enhance the owner’s user experience.

Another novelty of the 2025 Chevy Express Max in its category is that it is the only one offered with a diesel engine, being powered by a turbodiesel 2.0L I4 engine that develops 167 horsepower and 276 pound-feet of torque, coupled exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. It has a payload capacity of 1,295 kg (2,855 pounds) and a volume of 8.3 cubic meters (293 cubic feet), with practical and very functional access to the cargo area.

The brand-new 2025 Chevy Express Max has just gone on sale and is available at authorized Chevrolet dealerships in Mexico, where it arrives imported from China as the second model from the alliance with SAIC Motor that GM sells in the Latin American country as a Chevrolet. It comes standard with comprehensive safety equipment, including high-definition cameras and driver assistance sensors.

Here’s the price of the 2025 Express Max in Mexico:

  • 2025 Express Max: 758,100 pesos (about $38,450 USD at the current exchange rate)

  1. Wow – what’s up with the front end, not a fan at all. Wonder if this is a replacement for the current dinosaur US model that I think dates back to 1996. If so they need to rework the front end.

    1. Look at it from the point of view of someone who would purchase this as a delivery vehicle. As I do. Functionality over looks (zero concern for me about the looks). With this vehicle you can now wrap the entire van including the grille. Maybe a little tedious on cutting those out, but can be done.

    3. It may be a dinosaur but many love the current Express/Savanna due to its tried and true solid design. I read many complaints about the Transit and how unreliable they are and don’t get me started on the long list of complaints on the ProMasters.

The only other one is the Sprinter which have been pretty reliable, but costly to operate.

  5. This van is a ridiculous insult to the American market. You could only hope to have an infotainment system like that in an American built Chevy Express. It looks like it might make a good food truck…I know we could call it Barra’s Fresh Tacos.

  6. Clearly for the “Shut up, you’re getting paid to drive it” crowd.
