AEV Launches Rear Bumper For 2023+ Chevy Colorado And GMC Canyon

For those Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon buyers who want the look and performance of the AEV rear bumper, but without stepping up to the Colorado ZR2 Bison or Canyon AT4X AEV Edition, American Expedition Vehicles is now offering the bumper as a standalone product. Notably, this is the exact same bumper equipped by the production-spec ZR2 Bison and AT4X AEV Edition, and offers the same level of corrosion resistance and crash standards as the bumper found on the production trucks.

The AEV rear bumper is specifically made to fit 2023-and-newer Chevy Colorado ZR2, Trail Boss, and Z71 models, as well as GMC Canyon AT4, AT4X, and Denali. AEV states that the bumper “is designed to provide uncompromising protection, functionality, and durability for off-roading adventures.”

The bumper is made from 3mm stamped steel and weighs 100 pounds, featuring a multi-stage E-coat / powder coat finish. Highlights include a pair of cast iron tow hooks that are integrated with the bumper structure and hitch and can fit three-quarter-inch anchor shackles, another accessory offered by AEV. The bumper also includes integrated removable corner skid covers, allowing for quick reconfiguration whether you’re hitting the trail or getting back on the road.

The bumper is shipped pre-assembled and includes hitch mounting brackets for easy installation into the factory hitch. AEV estimates an installation time of three hours, and a difficulty level of “Moderate,” while an installation guide can be found at AEV’s website.

Pricing is set at $2,500. The bumper is available to order now.

Notably, AEV also offers a matching front bumper winch system for the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison and GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition. The winch is manufactured by COMEUP, and integrates directly with the AEV stamped steel front bumper. Pulling capacity is set at an impressive 9,500 pounds.
