2026 Corvette Could Get Two New Paint Colors, Including Green

Two new colors may be introduced to the C8 Corvette’s options list for the 2026 model year. One new 2026 Corvette color would be Blade Silver Metallic (color code GKA) and the other would be Roswell Green Metallic (G4Z). It’s unclear whether these colors will be added to the existing roster of 10 paint options for the C8 or if a couple of colors will go to make room for these two.

The color palette was reduced from 14 to 10 colors from the 2024 to the 2025 model year, so we know the Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky is capable of painting the Corvette 12 different colors. Hypersonic Gray Metallic (GA7) and Silver Flare Metallic (GSJ) were two of the colors that were deleted for 2025, so Blade Silver Metallic will likely be a successor to one of those two hues.

Blade Silver Metallic was available from 2009 until 2020, spanning three generations. It was on the lighter side of the gray/silver spectrum and similar to Silver Flare Metallic. The closest thing the 2025 Corvette has to a silver paint option is Sea Wolf Gray Tintcoat (GXA), a decidedly darker shade of gray. We don’t know if Blade Silver Metallic on the 2026 Corvette will be exactly like the previously offered paint with the same name, but it will likely be lighter and more silvery than Sea Wolf Gray. The same color code, GKA, is called Mercury Silver Metallic on the Cadillac CT4.

What Roswell Green Metallic will look like on the 2026 Corvette is a little harder to predict, but there’s certainly a hint in the name. Roswell, New Mexico is where an alien spacecraft supposedly landed in 1947, fueling theories about UFOs and aliens ever since. With an extraterrestrial theme in mind, Roswell Green could be a bright, neon shade of green, which would be a departure from the pale Cacti Green (GVR) and dark Lime Rock Green Metallic (G7J) paint options recently available on the Corvette.

As for the paint options on the 2025 Corvette, three new hues were introduced and seven were discontinued. The new ones are Sebring Orange Tintcoat, replacing Amplify Orange Tintcoat, Competition Yellow Tintcoat, replacing Accelerate Yellow Metallic, and Hysteria Purple Metallic, the first purple Corvette color from the factory since Pace Car Purple on the 1998 C5 Corvette.

  1. Cacti green sold very poorly and dropped after a couple of years for corvette. Saw cacti on a new Trax on my son’s college campus today. Looked like green that had been washed out. Bring back a bright or dark green for corvette fro the ‘60’s or early ‘70’s.

  4. I’m an old fart, so my idea of a good green would be either Goodwood Green or Polo Green. Maybe if they did the Goodwood Green, they could add a white stripe or some white trim like they did on the ’67 big block cars. Just a thought.

  7. I’m concerned that GM, sorry, gm, has so many C8 versions starting in excess of $100,000. that they may price themselves out of their prime market of younger Corvette enthusiasts and make the basic Stingray’s harder to get.

  8. Who needs immature kids having a Corvette anyway should be in your 30s to have a Corvette at least keep raising that price because there’s a lot of other cars out there to buy when you start talking 100 and $200,000
