GM Authority has uncovered trim level lineup and pricing details for the 2026 Chevy Silverado EV, revealing notable adjustments to both the model cadence and overall pricing strategy.
Critically, the 2026 model year sees a shakeup with the deletion of several model variants and the introduction of several new variants, while some of the carry-over trims debut significant price cuts.
As for the deletions, the 2WT Standard Range, RST Extended Range, and RST Max Range trim levels are no longer available for the 2026 model year. In their place, Chevrolet is launching the 3WT Standard + Range for fleet operators and 4WT Standard Range for retail buyers. The 5WT Extended Range and 8WT Max Range trims are carried over from the 2025 model year.
The LT lineup also expands significantly for 2026. A new LT Standard Range joins the existing LT Extended Range, while a new LT Max Range tops the LT sub-lineup. Additionally, Chevrolet adds two Trail Boss variants for 2026 with the Trail Boss Extended Range and Trail Boss Max Range. GM Authority was the first to report that the Silverado EV Trail Boss would not arrive for the 2026 model year.
Pricing also sees a few significant cuts for several key trim levels. The 5WT Extended Range now starts at $68,295, representing a $1,200 decrease over the previous model year. Similarly, the 8WT Max Range drops by $1,500 to a new MSRP of $76,295. The newly introduced 4WT Standard Range comes in at $54,895, or $2,200 less than the discontinued 2WT Standard Range. Finally, the Trail Boss base model is priced at $72,095, which is a whopping $17,300 less than the outgoing RST’s MSRP.
All prices listed include $2,095 for the destination freight charge. Check out the full breakdown for the 2026 Chevy Silverado EV trim level and MSRP figures in the table below:
Trim Level | 2026 MSRP + DFC |
---|---|
3WT Standard + Range (Fleet Only) | TBD |

As a reminder, the Chevy Silverado EV rides on the GM BT1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Detroit.

I have yet to see any of these on road. Lots of Cybertrucks tho.
I definitely don’t see the need for so many different trim levels/ranges.
I have seen 10 Silverado in ATL suburbs.
Saw first Sierra EV last week. They are rare. Seems if you want $100k GMC most go Hummer
which color ?
Unless you’re really looking you won’t notice a Silverado EV. Unlike the Cybertruck that sticks out like a sore thumb.
Must depend on the area. Where I am, it’s the opposite.
exactly!
are u sure you were with glasses because they are all grey, so maybe you saw 1 travelling around
Really does depend on the area. I can say I’ve seen more Cyber Trucks than Silverado EVs on the road where I live. But, it’s literally 3 Cybers vs 2 Silverado EVs. And by literally, I mean literally. When I see a Cyber Truck it’s always 1 of the same 3. When I see a Silverado EV it’s always 1 of the same 2. In others words, of the bazillion vehicles I see on the road in my area there’s a grand total of 3 Cyber Truck and 2 Silverado EV. And 3 Rivian, 2 R1T and 1 R1S. So, less that 10 EV trucks total.
Ive probably seen 50 CTs, if not more. Most of the silverado Evs Ive seen are municipal fleet vehicles.
If I’m not mistaken the 4WTs and up have the regular infotainment screen which makes the interior feel less cheap inside. Those will make great base truck options.
they are dumping the base infotainment for 2026
Still way too many models given that Silverado EV sales are less than 7,500 per year.
Given those low volumes, nine models are way too many. Assuming all model volumes are equal and using the 2024 sales of 7,428 total units, that means only 825 trucks are built of each trim level. Since the EV trucks are not profitable, I would say further simplification is in order; perhaps no more than three variations would be more appropriate.
It would seem that GM developed these trucks and the model derivatives with vastly higher volumes expected. Barra stated in 2022 that GM would have the capacity to build 600,000 units. As it stands today, the EV pickups are low-volume niche’ models so they do not need nine trim levels like their much higher volume ICE counterparts.
more trims and lower prices are probably happening to boost sales to over 7500 vehicles in a year. Just a crazy thought.
I could be wrong, but as I understand it there are really only 3 models WT, LT, and Trail Boss with the only variation being the size of the battery.
That trailboss is ugly and HIDEOUS!!! It’s replacing the RST? GM has truly lost its mind.
Real trucks don’t ride on gooner wheels.
Have you seen the amount of “real” trucks riding on those stupid low-profile tires that stick out a foot from the fenders? Some of them are even illuminated now.
Lots of overlap between rst and the Sierra Denali. I think that’s one reason the rst has been cut.
I see at least three Silverado EV’s on my commute every morning. And I see tonnes all over the place. Though I live in Canada.
The standard range will still be great for a lot of people as it has similar range to my Blazer EV.
Missing the EV ZR2
There is no need.
The range of a 1000 hp+ truck will be pathetic.
I don’t want anymore EVs…with the way Ms Mary is going I am pretty sure she will have to step down at some point..
You anti-EV and anti-Mary people really have no clue. The way Ms. Mary is going? GM recorded record profits of $14.9 Billion in 2024, and Q1 2025 sales are up 17% year over year. She works for the shareholders, and doesn’t care that you don’t want any more EVs.
That’s putting the unpleasant (to many folks) truth, about as concise as you can.
strange, it is not black or grey, what is happening GM, boring of the silver color ?
I think they need at least two MORE trim levels: “Moby Dick” and “Orca”.
