Production of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V – the high-performance variant of GM’s Cadillac Lyriq all-electric luxury crossover model – has kicked off at the GM Spring Hill Assembly plant in Tennessee, GM Authority has learned.
In fact, the start of regular production or SORP for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V began on March 24th, 2025, meaning the vehicle has been in production for approximately one month at the time of this writing.
According to the official specs released for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V, the powerful crossover churns out 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. This is achieved using twin electric motors energized by a 102 kWh lithium-ion battery pack capable of providing 285 miles of maximum range on a single charge.
True to the instant torque delivery and high specs of EV motors, the 2026 Lyriq-V manages to sprint to 60 mph slightly faster than the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, whose supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine delivers 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. The Lyriq-V blasts to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.3 seconds while the CT5-V Blackwing achieves the same in 3.4 seconds. Velocity Max mode must be engaged to achieve these Lyriq-V results.
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V comes with plenty of features and tech goodies as might be expected from a premium Caddy offering. GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving assist technology is equipped as standard, while owners can also enjoy an augmented reality head-up display, an AKG Studio 23-speaker audio system, a 33-inch LED display, heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, a hands-free power liftgate, 22-inch wheels, Brembo front brakes, and Continuous Damping Control suspension.
Among aesthetic options the crossover also has an Exterior Carbon Fiber Package (RPO code CFZ) available for an ultramodern look. It also gets red, bronze, and blue accent packages, though its palette includes two less colors than the standard Lyriq, omitting Crystal White Tricoat (color code G1W) and Celestial Metallic (color code GJY). Under the hood, it optionally offers the Underhood Sight Shield (RPO code SUZ) to conceal the wiring of its working bits.
Pricing for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V starts at $79,990 for the base V-Series and $85,190 for the V-Series Premium. Meanwhile, the official configurator is live to enable trying out various builds and package options. The GM BEV3 platform provides the underpinnings for the crossover model under the sheet metal.

How much is the insurance on EV’s like this? My late insurance agent Dad wouldn’t even let me have a big block in the muscle car ‘70’s for safety and insurance surcharges. Guess if you can afford this you can afford the insurance.
Took one for a test drive Monday, and it was great. Regular Sport mode is what you would expect from a Lyriq, nice smooth instant power. V Mode really presses you into the seat. Not as much as the insane Model X Plaid, but if you’re looking for that thrill, this is it. Now I’m just waiting for my build date…
How’s it handle? Sporty?
I find the body shape and styling of the Lyric, particularly behind the rear doors, to be incredibly ugly.
