Compared to the 2024 model, the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer receives a handful of relatively minor (yet somewhat important) changes and updates consistent with a model year changeover.
The 2025 Trailblazer represents the fifth model year of the Trailblazer crossover, which was launched for the model year (see more about the 2021 Trailblazer), followed by a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 Trailblazer.
The model line doesn’t see any changes, continuing to be offered across the following four trims levels, each available in either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive:
On the outside, the 2025 Trailblazer adds one new color while deleting two existing ones.

The remaining two changes to the 2025 Trailblazer’s exterior have to do with the roof color options on the ACTIV trim. First up, the Summit White roof option (J32) has been deleted on vehicles with Summit White body color. In other words, the White roof color can no longer be equipped on white Trailblazer ACTIVs. To get the white roof color on that trim, one must opt for one of the following five exterior hues:
The second roof color change is the addition of a two-tone roof delete option (PDR), (finally) allowing customers to opt out of the two-tone look by having the body and roof finished in one color. This option is available only in conjunction with the five exterior colors listed above.
2024 Trailblazer | 2025 Trailblazer | |
---|---|---|
ACTIV roof colors | Summit White (J32) for Summit White color | Two-tone roof delete (PDR) |

Inside, the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer doesn’t see any changes compared to the refreshed 2024 model, which saw a new screen setup. The cabin continues to be headlined by a five-passenger layout with an eight-inch fully digital and reconfigurable driver information center.
An 11-inch diagonal color touchscreen within the center stack includes AM/FM stereo, Bluetooth audio streaming for two active devices, voice command pass-through to phone, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
GM made one key change to the powertrain lineup in the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer, adding E85 compatibility to the turbo 1.2L engine, which serves as the base powerplant in the Trailblazer. As a result of this change, the RPO code for the 1.2L engine has been changed to LBP from LIH used from 2021 thru 2024.
Aside from that, the rest of the powertrain lineup remains the same as it has since the Trailblazer’s introduction for the 2021 model year, including the CVT that’s mated to the 1.2L, as well as the optional 1.3L engine and the nine-speed mated to it.
Engine | Fuel | Aspiration | Transmission | Drivetrain | Horsepower @ RPM | Torque @ RPM | Axle Ratio |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1.2L I-3 LBP | Gasoline or E85 | Turbocharged | CVT | FWD | 137 @ 5000 | 162 @ 2500 | 5.45 |
1.3L I-3 L3T | Gasoline | Turbocharged | AWD | 9-speed automatic | 155 @ 5600 | 174 @ 1500 | 3.17 |
Production of the 2025 Trailblazer has already come to an end at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea, but no 2026 models have landed as of this writing. Looking beyond that, we expect the current Trailblazer crossover to remain in production through at least the 2027 model year, with another bout of small changes expected for the 2026 and 2027 model years. See more about both models here:
What GM plans on doing with the model thereafter is unclear at this point, but the most logical path would involve reskinning it on the existing VSS-F architecture, which is still modern and capable of supporting the vehicle for a while longer. I thought the '26s were on the way. So, why discuss '25s?
They’re on the way, but a grand total of zero 2026 MY are on the ground… which means real people (not random trolls) are buying 2025s.
GM became too chinese for example this car, where are the good Pasadena north american designers ? remember in past the school in california was a reference, but now where is the new syd meads ? the new lee iacoccas ? where are the good guys ?
Correct. This is a feminized suv targeting urban minority boss babes. Seen the ads? GM can't figure out which feminized suv brand to push more: trailblazer/equinox or envista/envision . . .
The trailblazer's styling is a lazy ripoff of the Mitsubishi Outlander. Not a good brand to benchmark.
MK and Larry - you guys must be living in another reality.
GM is the undisputed leader in the segment where the Trailblazer competes. Have a look at the numbers:

In fact, prior to the arrival of the second-gen Trax, which is more affordable than the Trailblazer, the Trailblazer was consistently in the top three of the segment's best-sellers. For instance, it was the second best-selling model during Q1 2023:
