Last week, we showed you photos of a Corvette prototype with an updated interior. Now, new spy shots of another prototype – the upcoming Corvette Zora – provide some more clues about the incoming C8 interior updates.
This particular prototype is the upcoming Zora, which will serve as the flagship of the C8 family. We’ve seen plenty Zora prototypes over the past year, but we’ve never seen the cabin… until now.
The interior of this Corvette Zora prototype is fully camouflaged, which is quite interesting in and of itself. That’s because GM typically doesn’t apply this level of interior camouflage unless there is something worth hiding. In other words, the presence of camo tells us that interior changes are on the way.
Despite the camo, we can still see that the gauge cluster surround has been modified to protrude less toward the driver than the current model.
Additionally, the spy shots we shared last week appear to show the “wall of buttons” that bifurcates the cockpit in current C8 models either gone, or located lower within the center console.
Whatever C8 interior updates are in store, they should drop for the 2026 model year (see more on the 2026 Corvette) and be applied across all models, including the C8 Stingray, C8 Z06, C8 E-Ray and C8 ZR1.
Meanwhile, the C8 Zora should join the lineup later on in the 2026 model year.

They mess with a good thing. And all you folks screaming you want a standard shift—get over it–those days are gone due to low production rates. You all say “you’d buy” one, but obviously you haven’t these past years or else they wouldn’t have done away with them. As for the Wall of buttons–majority of people ultimately don’t give 2 sheets about them—they want a car that’s fun to drive and actually works ! No transmission problems or recalls, no updates for software because the lights don’t work. GM NEEDS TO FOCUS on quality first before updating models or adding another 2 to the mix.
Incredible Combination of parts. Now I have to plan on a purchase strategy.
I want to care but after the last round of trying to buy a new Corvette I think I’d rather take a cheese grater to the back of my legs and go for a swim in pool full of rubbing alcohol than try that again. Let me know when GM has control of their dealer network and shows some deference to repeat/lifetime customers and I might be willing to try again.
I love my 70th anniversary, 2023, C8 red mist convertible Corvette. The great wall of buttons are way too cool. And do you know where they came up with that idea?
Spoiler Alert: a jet fighter!
The best strategy to buy one is to put down a large down payment. I purchased mine back in 2022 after waiting 16 months on a list at my dealership because I came an inch from dying from COVID. Life is truly short. Just buy a Corvette of your choice and live life to its fullest.
Signed one extremely happy owner.
A freind of a friend, of a friend, in a Corvette club has pictures of the new interior. This person is involved in producing commercials. Several members were practically begging to see it. Obviously, an NDA precludes him from sharing the pictures. Personally, I don’t know what”s the big deal. I’ll see the interior in the Fall when it’s released.
I have a 2023 3LZ ZO6/ZO7. The only things I would change is where the phone charger is and the soft close on the hood.
It’s an amazing car.
