You read that right: according to the sticker on its rear glass, this particular Chevy Traverse identifies as a Tahoe. That’s worth at least a chuckle or two.
No further commentary is necessary, though we would love to get in touch with the owner and get the back story of the sticker.
Hat tip to GM Authority reader Dane O., who sent this to us by email.

I mean the new traverse is just about the same size as a Tahoe so it might as well be a “ Tahoe SS “ lol
Owner is definitely not a liberal
Liberal or Conservative, Democrats or Republicans are just a label. There are good and bad in both. It’s character, integrity and policy that count. With that being said, it very well could be someone who leans left to show how ridiculous culture wars are. The right to be left alone is the core value of our Constitution. To call one’s self what they want.
@Bernie Madoff With the Money….yes what you said is true expect the fact that it was shoved down our throats for the last decade by numerous American companies… People don’t need your *life style ” in our commercials, movies and school system! Yes it’s your choice to be whatever you want but not everyone has to agree with your choice in life…as a generation Xer I can say that back in my in my day your feelings wouldn’t matter and no would care what life style or political party you choose as long you kept it to yourself! The Constitution gives rights…NOT forcing people to believe what you or I believe! Oh and this sticker is funny my Equinox can now identify as a Traverse lol 🤣😆!
It is considered a hate crime to refer to this vehicle as a Traverse.
Just don’t dead name the Gulf of America!
That is hilarious. lol
All liberal brains are exploding right now after seeing this picture. Too funny
I purchased the 2024 Black on Black TraverseLT. It’s just as long and wide as the Tahoe. The down side Engine noise from inside cabin, low power, jerking brakes and transmission. All under warranty. I’m afraid American made models look good on the outside but need quality control on the inside. Byron GA
Um, it is 6 inches shorter, 2 inches narrower and 5 inches less in height with 24 CuFt of less cargo space. So not the same size.
“Um” is not a word!
I agree with you. I test drove a new Acadia. Wasn’t impressed at all with it compared to my current 21 Premier Redline. The cylinder is noisy and doesn’t achieve acclaimed gas mileage. The V6 I have and the size are perfect for my family. Mine feels athletic and sporty when you drive it. The new ones are fat, bulky, and not as fun to drive.
4 cylinder
We had an Acadia rental a couple years ago. The interior was similar to my wife’s old 2013 Grand Caravan and the push button trans shifter was AWFUL.
How can you get gas mileage out of a test drive? What did dealership let you keep overnight.. another person veling everything they read. All engines make noise I can even hear the 3 6V6 on my wife’s enclave you know when you step on it…me I would just the radio up and forget about it .
What is a premier redline
You should have purchased the Tahoe
Are you sure this isn’t a Kia? I’ve seen Hyundai’s with landau lights and vinyl roofs with Cadillac badges. Franken Cars. Or people put SS stickers and badges on POS’s. Or as a joke they put a Mercedes logo on a Chevette.
That’s why I’m not really into the new Chevrolet Traverse since 2018, because it’s too boxy to suit me and I’m worried about the potentially reduced fuel economy from the increased drag caused by the boxy design. This sticker proves the point that the last two generations of the Chevrolet Traverse got a more truck like appearance that looks a bit too much like the Chevrolet Tahoe, compared to the first generation Chevrolet Traverse from 2009 to 2017, which I prefer despite having fewer features, and I’ve been saying that GM should bring back the design of the first generation Chevrolet Traverse because it’s more rounded than the second and third generations.
All it needs is an optional engine that is not a 4 cylinder.
No Joseph it needs an optionsl 3 cylinder then if you want the V6 they can put two 3 cylinders together and call it USELESS as the old 3.6V6! We own an Enclave with the 3.6 I’m not overly impressed with the V6 it’s lazy to get up and go, stand next to it or inside a quiet cabin and you hear noise and the fuel mileage even with AWD OFF in FWD is horrible the best was 22 or 23 mpg with easy driving. Please drive one first before you believe what you read online they also criticized my 2019 Equinox with the 1.5t 4 cylinder and I’ve owned the 2.0t the 2.0t was faster but the again the mpg went down and for me regardless of what is said the 1.5t is just fine and it’s not slow I average 28-30mpg.
The new 2025 Equinox looks like a baby Traverse.
I own a 2023 Traverse All Wheel Drive V6 Premier. Power and size get the job done. Gas mileage no so great (15mpg). However, looks like a big mistake on the 4-cylinder engine beginning in 2024. Tahoe is also a great vehicle, but slightly too big. GM, nevertheless, needs to bring the cost of the vehicles down, don’t know exactly how, but it needs to happen as they are becoming unaffordable. Good luck to all, no matter their political leanings. Buy American!
