This Hysteria Purple 2025 Corvette ZR1 Is Headed To Dubai

A 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 finished in Hysteria Purple Metallic (GXL) paint was recently spotted at the port of Wilmington, Delaware, bound for Dubai. This ZR1 is in a highly desirable spec, which we’ll dig into shortly. Judging by the fact that it’s uncovered, we believe it isn’t a customer car. It’s likely a show car.

We didn’t need the build sheet on the dash to tell us that this ZR1 is equipped with the ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package (RPO TOM), which includes a high-wing spoiler, a tall hood spoiler, and dive planes, all in visible carbon fiber.

Additionally, this one has the ZTK Track Performance Package, which includes a unique suspension tuning with Magnetic Selective Ride Control (FEJ) and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R ultra-performance tires (XFS). 10-spoke visible carbon fiber wheels (SU1) and the Chrome Exterior Badge Package (EYK) round out the drool-worthy exterior aesthetic of this ZR1.

Moving inside, this Corvette has the Natural interior colorway with optional Natural seatbelts (3N9). Per the build sheet, it also has GT2 seats (AH2) and the level 2 interior trim kit with carbon fiber instrument panel trim, cluster-surround, and console/door inserts (FA6).

One oddity we noticed is the body-color mirror caps on this ZR1. All press photos of the C8 ZR1 and its online configurator show black mirror caps.

The new C8 ZR1 was confirmed in the Middle East region last summer, shortly after its world debut in Detroit. “The all-new Corvette ZR1 adds to Chevrolet’s line up of performance cars under the Corvette brand, including the Stingray, Z06, and recently available on to order; the E-Ray,” said the Communications Department of GM Africa and Middle East at the time. “The Middle East is renowned globally for its appreciation of fast, powerful, beautiful sports cars, and the arrival of the ZR1 will take this passion stratospheric.”

Notably, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 debuts the new twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7 engine that develops an astonishing 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound-feet of torque, representing the most power ever produced by a factory Corvette and the most powerful V8 built in America. The engine is mated to an updated eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with “numerous changes” to support the new LT7’s dramatic power increase.

  1. Impressive GM! That color is even worse in real life than it is in the renders. And it’s not even purple! Whoever is running your paint department is doing Dinner for Schmucks but with colors.

  6. Was going to order a 2025, but when all the colors that I was looking at were tanked by GM I am holding off for a used/lease turn in in any of my colors.

Great move GM, Barney Purple, Orange Juice, Crayon Blue and lots of red. Maybe a tint coated red would have made my list, but after having one red car, I decided no more red. Rear-ended twice and sude swiped once by people who couldn’t see the arrest me red!

  7. Color like ability is totally subjective. The important thing here, is, they have given the consumer many different choices inside and outside with the corvette. The criticism should be leveled at GM for making the Corvette the only vehicle in GM’s portfolio for giving a buyer true choices in colors inside and out.

  8. I think it looks more exotic without the high wing and dive planes.

  9. You’d think that Chevy/GM Corvette design studio folks would seriously take a look at some sought after colors that the Italians, Germans and English manage to use on their Super High End Sports cars sold world wide, especially here in America, and by closely monitoring which colors sell the best, might consider using a slightly varied series of top pick colors which they could bring to light (sic) for all to see. Instead, I fear there might be some “paint color coordinators” within the Corvette design community that are “color blind” and afraid to push the envelope with the new C8 ZR1 color palets to the point where they show off the really distinctive body lines of the ZR1. Just my thoughts, ‘ya know I’ve seen some really beautiful colors on many sports cars from other parts of the world that really “kick ass” and grab you’re attention, and from a distance even! Why not build a few ZR1’s with a couple of these colors and see if the American sports car purchasing possible new owners would pay a few bucks extra to have their ZR1’s painted in those “retina searing colors”…couldn’t hoit!
PS…or why not check out a few popular colors from Corvette’s past, what ‘ya got to lose!

  10. What would it look like in the Mopar color of sublime ? Maybe a limited edition of 500 cars or less using colors from past corvettes? Do the latter twice a year, maybe. Usually I’m not one to call paint colors, decals and the like special edition cars. With the corvettes performance stats off the charts, LE colors would be an easy way to keep things fresh without spending a fortune on engineering performance mods. Anyone one want a black and silver Indy pace car paint job? Not sure about the disco silver interior though. However, they made a silver interior for mid year corvettes. Lots of possibilities.
