Specialty Vehicles Engineering (SVE) has debuted the 2025 SXR Supercharged Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, available with up to 1,000 horsepower. Rather than going the trendy off-road route, this truck leans into road and track performance with a powerful and stylish full-size SUV.
The 2025 SXR Supercharged Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV are only available through local GM dealerships in either 2WD or 4WD. SVE doesn’t specify trim availability, so it’s presumably available in conjunction with any Yukon trim.
There are two power levels on offer, including a 700-horsepower unit equipped with the 6.2L V8 L87 and a 1,000-horsepower beast with a 6.8L V8, presumably a bored-out L87. All of the above feature a blueprinted aluminum block, race-quality computer-balanced rotating assembly, forged twisted steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded cylinder heads, and an SVE supercharger system. A custom stainless steel exhaust system is also included.
91 and 93 octane tunings are available across the board. The 91-octane tuning would make it easier to fill up with premium pump fuel at most gas stations.
Additional upgrades include 22-inch wheels in gunmetal, satin black, or satin black with a red line stripe. They’re wrapped in Nitto performance tires. You also get Brembo 6-piston front brakes with 16.1-inch vented rotors. Other standard aesthetic upgrades include SXR Series badging, sill plates, and interior embroidery, badging indicating the horsepower rating on the liftgate, and a numbered dash plaque.
A few additional options you can add to the package are a sport suspension system with a lowering kit, retractable side steps, a body-color paint package, and a black-out trim package.
Notably, SVE will only produce 50 units in each of the two configurations, or 100 units in total, of the 2025 SXR Supercharged Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV. Additionally, similar SVE performance packages are available for the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, with Yenko/SC branding, and the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, which SVE dubs the Sport Edition. The Chevy and GMC variants also have 700-hp tunings available based on the 5.3L V8 L84, which is unavailable in the Escalade.
Comments
More of this type of thing coming, all throughout the recession.
Financially, things may be a little bumpy for a while. Trying to balance the budget is going to be a really tough task. That being said, I haven’t seen any stories about Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, et al. closing up their dealerships.
If this is a 2025 then why are all the photos of a 2024?
OHV or OHC
All of the engines listed are OHV. I didn’t see any mention of OHC, did I miss something?
There is practically no market for these expensive Boxy Milk Trucks, buyers should wait for hefty discounts before making a purchase, no mention of the warranty on these Boxy Milk Trucks. Boxy Milk Trucks have no style.
