Some 2025 Buick Enclave Units Need A Brake Control Module Fix

An incorrectly programmed Electronic Brake Control Module in certain 2025 Buick Enclave units now has a fix available to avoid the improper measurement of brake pad wear according to a new service update issued by GM.

As described by GM Service Update number N242471431, the three-row crossover’s brake control module will not correctly predict brake pad wear if the fault described in the update is present.

The 2025 Buick Enclave EBCM issue can now be corrected with an available repair, one that does not require any physical parts. GM service personnel are instructed to reprogram the module with new, correct software. This will cause the EBCM to return to correctly predicting brake pad wear, resolving the issue in affected units.

The fix can alternatively be applied using over-the-air (OTA) programming. It is available free of charge to owners, either at the dealership or via OTA updates. This remedy to the 2025 Buick Enclave problem will be offered through the end of each vehicle’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty period. The exact number of affected crossovers is unknown at this point.

The 2025 Enclave debuted the crossover’s third generation and has proven very popular, with rapid sales turnover at dealerships. The third-gen Enclave’s cockpit is headlined by a 30-inch ultra-wide infotainment screen as standard, with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, wireless device charging, and numerous safety features included in its tech suite.

The exterior gets larger dimensions and fresh, dynamic styling based on the Buick Wildcat EV concept. Motivation is supplied to the 2025 Buick Enclave by a single powerplant cradled under the hood, specifically the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. Cog swaps are handled by the GM 8-speed automatic transmission.

Under the body panels of the 2025 Enclave the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform is found for structure. The model rolls off the assembly line at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

  1. It needs the 3.6L back, stat. Even Consumer Reports just panned the new turbo 4 as being inappropriate in this price range (Traverse and Acadia included). It’s just GM gouging again.

  2. Lmao consumer reports 🤣… maybe I’ll go FAKE AND BIASED NEWS from the cheap newspapers in front of the checkout register at the grocery store ya know star ledger or what I like to call these waste of print and paper… bottom of the bird cage specials! Lol consumer reports Toyota is in much more trouble right now then Ford and GM put together but somehow they keep getting CS top billing. I have an idea why doesn’t GM/Buick come out with a gas hog TURBO V6 to match the turbo 4 HP ABD TORQUE, then they can price $5,000 to $10,000 above the turbo 4 which would make this a $70,000 vehicle that nobody would but kind of like Infinity’s large SUVs nobody buys them but they are unique and overpriced! Hands 👏👏

  3. Not only does it need a V6 back it needs a nicer interior and a proper Buick front end and some more personality. Otherwise it’s just a rebadged Chevy/GMC and kind of irrelevant.
