The Saratoga Automobile Museum in Saratoga Springs, New York, has announced the forthcoming launch of new exhibit dedicated to the Chevy Corvette. Titled “Speed – Style – Legacy: The Corvette Story,” this exhibition will open this May and run through October of 2025, offering visitors an in-depth look at the Vette’s evolution, innovation, and racing success. The exhibit will also include six vehicles on loan from the GM Heritage Collection.
The exhibit will feature a curated lineup of models spanning from the first-generation 1953 C1 fiberglass roadster to the latest mid-engine C8. As such, the exhibit will guide visitors through the evolution of America’s Sports Car and provide insight into how the Vette has redefined itself through performance, design, and cutting-edge technology over the course of more than seven decades.
Beyond the lineup of production models, the exhibit will also shine a spotlight on Corvette’s extensive motorsports history with a selection of famous race cars.
Some of the biggest highlights of the exhibition will be six rare models from the GM Heritage Collection. The Saratoga Auto Museum states that, for the moment, the exact models that will be on loan from the GM Heritage Collection are still being finalized. However, the six historic vehicles are still expected to be among the most iconic and influential Corvettes ever built, providing fans a rare chance to see them up close and in person.
To note, the GM Heritage Collection includes a wealth of different Corvette models, including several experimental vehicles.
“We are thrilled to work with the GM Heritage Collection to bring these incredible cars to our exhibit, stay tuned, as we finalize the selection – these vehicles will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for visitors,” said Director of the Saratoga Automobile Museum, Megan Hennessey.
The Saratoga Automobile Museum was established in 1999 and opened in 2002. The museum includes three galleries spread across two floors, with capacity for some thirty vehicles total.
