The GMC Sierra HD is well-established for its capability when it comes to hauling and towing. However, with the right modifications, this heavy-duty pickup can also make for a great custom build. Now, we’re taking a look at this totally unique supercharged GMC Sierra HD Single Cab / Short Bed thanks to the following feature video.
Recently hitting the web thanks to the folks at PaxPower, this custom GMC Sierra 2500 HD project began as a customer idea that ended up completely reworking the rig from end to end. To bring the customer’s vision to life, PaxPower shortened the truck’s frame by a whopping 14 inches, then swapped the factory eight-foot bed with a new 6.5-foot bed. To make it all work as expected, the crew had to relocate a number of critical components, including the gas tank and EVAP system, while also reinforcing the frame. The truck also boasts a power retractable bed cover, custom rear bumper, and body-colored fender flares with matching LED lights.
Up front, the team replaced the stock front bumper with a custom-built tubular bumper, which includes pod lights and a skid plate. Further details include shortened power steps and cab lights, while the whole this was painted to match the truck’s sleek design.
Under the body panels, the truck’s suspension was upgraded with a BDS coilover conversion kit, which replaces the factory torsion bar setup with tubular and boxed control arms, allowing for better ride quality and customization. The setup also gave the truck a three-inch lift and made room for 37-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires wrapped on Method wheels. In the rear, PaxPower used progressive AT4X / ZR2 leaf springs.
Under the hood, the Sierra’s 6.6L L8T V8 engine was supercharged with a Whipple 3.0L blower, boosting power to 650 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque. Finishing it off is a Borla cat-back exhaust system.
Moving inside, the basic factory interior was transformed with custom leather seats, a suede headliner, wrapped steering wheel, and an upgraded stereo system.
All in all, this is custom Sierra is definitely a head-turner. Check out the full feature video right here:

I wish GM would make another full size two door Blazer or Yukon .
I use to own two back in the day onw a two wheel dr and the other
one was 4×4. good trucks .
I would like to see a full size regular cab with something besides a 4 cylinder. A manual transmission would be nice.
Full size regular cabs are available with 5.3 v-8’s, always have been as long as you get the long bed.
Now that is a truck!
WOW, that thing reeks of testosterone. I love it! So many missed opportunities under Barra.
ABOUT FRIGGIN TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder how much to do that? I could use all of that under my 1972 K5 Blazer.
Nice truck but ugly boring color. Looks like gloss primer.
