Kevin Hart’s 1966 Chevelle Is Both Brutal And Beautiful: Video

By any definition of the term, Kevin Hart is most definitely a “car guy,” and as a wildly successful actor and comedian, one might correctly guess that his collection includes some pretty nice pieces. We’ve covered a few of these before, including Hart’s 1969 Pontiac GTO and his 1987 Buick GNX. Now, we’re climbing behind the wheel of this supercharged Chevy Chevelle pro-touring restomod, as featured in the following video.

Coming to us from AutotopiaLA, the video is 24 minutes long and includes background on the car, what was done to it, and what it’s like to drive on the street. The build was executed by Timeless Customs, and was built from the ground up to Hart’s specifications.

Starting outside, this Chevelle retains its factory sheet metal with only minimal external modifications, such as a tucked front splitter and slightly modified hood scoops for better ventilation.

From the outset, the build was designed to be a powerful, yet comfortable daily driver, rather than a high-boost, extreme-performance machine. As such, the car is powered by an LSX 454 engine topped by an LS9 supercharger, the combination of which produces 620 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque at the wheels on seven psi of boost. The engine connects to a 4L80 automatic transmission and a nine-inch rear end with 3.55 gears.

Mechanically, the Chevelle rides on an Art Morrison chassis with a C6 Corvette front suspension and a triangulated rear setup. It also has manual brakes and a high-end carbon ceramic Brembo rotor package.

Inside, the interior was crafted by Gabe’s Custom Interiors, featuring a fully custom dash with integrated navigation and modified AutoMeter gauges. The design keeps a clean, factory-inspired aesthetic while improving functionality. The center console, pedals, and steering wheel carry the car’s “Darkness” theme, with unique badging subtly incorporated.

It’s a lovely setup, and definitely looks like a blast to drive. See it for yourself right here:
