The 2025 GMC Terrain debuts the crossover’s latest third generation, bringing with it a variety of fresh updates and changes, including new styling, an overhauled cabin, and a bevy of new tech features. For the 2025 model year, it’s available exclusively in the base Elevation trim. A more complete lineup with Terrain AT4 and Terrain Denali models is on the way for 2026.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at how expensive a 2025 GMC Terrain can get when fully loaded.

The base price of the 2025 GMC Terrain Elevation is $31,395, and adding all-wheel drive costs an extra $2,000. The Elevation Premium Package (RPO GHI) is a middle ground between the base Elevation trim and the future Denali trim by adding features like an 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar control, a cabin humidity sensor, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, an AutoSense power liftgate, a universal garage door opener, and overhead sunglass storage.
This package normally costs $2,700, but it drops to $2,100 when you add the $895 Black Edition package (WJP), an appearance package with 19-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, roof rails, and black accents throughout the body.
The Technology Package II (CWN) for $1,085 further adds a rear camera mirror (with a washer), fog lamps, HD Surround Vision, rear pedestrian alert, and traffic sign recognition. There’s also a Convenience Package III (ZL4) for $950 adding a memory package, an 8-way power front passenger seat with lumbar control, heated rear seats, and ventilated front seats.
Other pricey factory options for the 2025 GMC Terrain include a dual-pane power sunroof (CAJ) for $1,495, Volcanic Red Tintcoat paint (GNT) for $645, and an Ebony Twilight Metallic contrast roof (94T) for $495.
Then there are various LPO options adding to the price tag like roof rack cross rails (LPO VLL), a floor liner package (LPO PDK), black GMC emblems (LPO SFZ), and wheel locks (LPO SFE).
Add it all up, and the grand total cost of a fully loaded 2025 GMC Terrain comes to $42,200. For those keeping score, that’s a little less than a loaded 2025 Chevy Equinox ($44,113), and it’s actually more expensive than the base price of a 2024 GMC Terrain Denali, which was $39,995. Looking ahead to the 2026 model year, the AT4 trim will start at $39,995, and the Denali model will begin at $42,395.

Then add the 25% Dump tariff. Will not be buying a Terrain or Equinox any time soon.
Maybe you could get a deal on an EV from China. Biden only put a 100% tariff on those.
Does GM offer a hybrid ?
Yes. The Corvette.
It burns Gasoline…and Rubber.
Lot of money for an anemic drivetrain
I didn’t find the drivetrain bad for this size, but the price creep is becoming noticeable.
Just don’t see who the market is here. Mazda, Subaru, Nissan, Kia— all better options for same or less.
Not to mention obvious CRV and RAV4
So rental fleets? What consumer is going to throw $40k+ for this? It makes no sense and because it’s made in Mexico with Korean parts— goodness the tariff will be bad news
