What’s the point of separating trims if they all add up to the Denali price when optioned like all will be on dealer lots anyway?
I also like how GM gives the class worst engine and I then guess GM hopes consumer hasn’t seen something called the Kia Sportage?
What’s the end game here? Fleet sales to Avis?
Class worst? Far from it. Please educate yourself, look at the torque (more important than HP). It is mid pack and getting descent reviews with the new tuning…

Mike car guy here
Torque is ability to apply force, in this case work done by engine measured in horsepower, to the wheels.
So if you don’t have horsepower then not sure how high torque will help.
Diesels have lovely torque. But they just don’t make racecars out of them for some wild reason
How much for a decent engine? The 1.5L 4-banger turbo is a turd!
The 1.5L is fine as a base engine but the 2.0L should be optional (standard on Denali)
Base engine on a Honda Passport is a V6. The 1.5L is a TURD.
Don’t worry, GM says hybrids are coming! (rolls eyes and waits for 2027)
IMHO, the only advantage the 1.5L ICE has over an EV is the range and refueling time.
You can double the advantage during the winter .
Lets not expect to much from GM! I purchased a GMC ACADIA DENALI loaded but it doesn’t even have a glovebox light or a under the hood emergency light. My son just purchased a Honda Pilot. It is very apparent that Honda cares more about their customers buying experience than GM. There are just to many other very worthwhile buying options on todays auto showroom floors than sticking to GM!
Of all the things to complain about, these two lights might be the silliest I’ve seen yet. Buy yourself a small LED flash light, store in your glove box.
No Downpour Metallic for the Denali?
They have shown it in that color from the start.
Looks like I’ll be keeping my ‘19 Denali Terrain a bit longer. I thinking of going back to an Audi Q5 anyway.
GMC lost me after 24 years thanks to their faulty infotainment systems in the SUVs and trucks. My 2019 Denali had the ‘no sound’ issue and there still isn’t a fix. I’ll keep the Honda Pilot I traded it in for- less fancy, less BS, and more cargo space.
