Two months after introducing the all-new four-door Wuling MINI EV in China, SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) has just officially launched the brand’s latest MINI EV variant in the Asian country.
General Motors’ second joint venture in China has launched the all-new Wuling MINI EV four-door in the country’s domestic market as the first model in the range of the second-generation MINI EV range, which completely reinterprets the design language and brings a new direction to Wuling’s successful all-electric mini car. As such, the new MINI EV four-door strengthens the nameplate’s appeal while increasing its commercial reach.
“Since its debut in 2020, the Hong Guang MINI EV family has been recognized by 1.5 million users for its unique styling and convenience,” said GM China in a statement. “The newest family member, the MINI EV four-door, offers even more of both, with two rear doors as well as a longer wheelbase,” the company added.
In particular, the all-new Wuling MINI EV four-door is officially launched in the Chinese market with distinctive Advanced, Premium and Premium+ trim levels. All come as standard with a comprehensive range of class-leading safety and technology features such as electronic safety control, the unique Autohold braking system, electronic parking brake and a cage-shaped body with enhanced protection.
In addition to ushering in a new category as the first four-door, four-seat model in its segment in China, the Wuling MINI EV four-door offers an upgraded powertrain to better meet users’ mobility needs. It’s powered by a 30 kW or 40-horsepower electric motor as well as an optimized and more-efficient Wuling Shenlian battery pack, providing a driving range of 205 km (127 miles) on a single charge, along with fast charging capability.
The all-new Wuling MINI EV four-door is now available for sale throughout SGMW’s official dealer network in China, where it expands the zero-emission MINI EV family. The new-generation four-door variant will sit alongside the current versions of the original model, while the three-door variant of the redesigned model will soon be introduced. Pricing for the three MINI EV four-door trim levels in China is as follows:
- 2025 MINI EV Four-Door Advanced: 44,800 yuan ($6,180 USD at the current exchange rate)
- 2025 MINI EV Four-Door Premium: 49,800 yuan ($6,870 USD)
- 2025 MINI EV Four-Door Premium+: 50,800 yuan ($7,010 USD)
