The GM Authority Take

Cumulative GMC Yukon sales posted an impressive 49 percent increase during Q4 2024, enabling a six percent uptick for the 2024 calendar year. We attribute the growth to welcome reception of the refreshed 2025 Yukon range, along with ample availability of the models at the retail level.

Even better, GM accounted for over two thirds of all full-size mainstream SUV sales during Q4 when taking into account the Yukon range plus the Tahoe and Suburban.

About GMC Yukon And Yukon XL

This past summer, the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon officially debuted, boasting a long list of updates that enhance its design, comfort, and functionality. It’s highlighted by a refreshed exterior, revamped cabin, and cutting-edge tech, including new towing technology.

The updated SUV introduces two new trim levels: Elevation and AT4 Ultimate. The new AT4 Ultimate coincides with the 5th anniversary of the off-road-focused GMC AT4 sub-brand. Much like the GMC Canyon, Acadia, and Terrain, the 2025 GMC Yukon replaces the SLE and SLT trims with Elevation as the new entry-level one, resulting in the Yukon losing this family friendly seating feature.

The exterior of the 2025 Yukon shows off a truck-like attitude, with unique grille patterns and eye-catching animated lighting signatures. The cabin centers around a large, vertical 16.8-inch diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment Center.

The refreshed 2025 Yukon offers several new appearance packages and updated engine availability, but won’t offer these three paint colors. Here are the 2025 Yukon paint colors, the interior colorways, and available wheels, plus all the front fascias.

To that end, for 2025, the GMC Yukon AT4 finally gets a diesel engine option for the first time, featuring the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, with ordering for that powerplant kicking off on March 3rd. As before, the 2025 Yukon will continue to offer two gasoline engine options: the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 and naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87. Notably, the latter is not offered on the Elevation trim.

Also, a special 2025 GMC Yukon Denali 25th Anniversary Edition celebrates Denali sub-brand success.
