The Savana is sold exclusively in the U.S. and Canada. It is not sold in Mexico, where GM only sells its platform mate, the Chevrolet Express.
The GMC Savana remained in last place in its segment when ranked by sales volume in Q4 2024, a spot it has occupied for several years. As a reminder, the full-size van segment is comprised of passenger, cargo, and cutaway/chassis cab models.
With sales up 22 percent to 35,103 units, the Ford Transit (see running Ford Transit sales) remained in the lead, a spot it has occupied since it launched in the U.S. The Ram ProMaster stayed in second place with a 17 percent uptick to 24,866 units. The Chevy Express (see running Chevy Express sales), Savana’s corporate twin, kept third with a 38 percent swell to 13,971 units. The Blue Oval’s second entry, the Ford E-Series (see running Ford E-Series sales), placed fourth with a nine percent dip to 11,331 sales. Finally, the Savana (see running GMC Savana sales) finished last in spite of a 67 percent jump in sales for 4,230 deliveries.

The Transit led with a 39 percent share, up one percentage point, while the ProMaster maintained a 28 percent share. The Express posted a 16 percent segment share, up three percentage points, and the E-Series held a 13 percent share, down four percentage points.

The full-size van segment expanded 19 eight percent to 89,501 units in Q4 2024, meaning Savana sales significantly outperformed the segment average.
GMC Savana sales posted the biggest gain in the segment during Q4 2024, though it remains well behind the pack in terms of overall sales volume. Even combining sales of the Savana and Chevy Express wasn’t enough to move GM from third place, keeping it behind Ram and very far behind the best-selling Ford Transit – especially when combined with the Ford E-Series.
As GM Authority continues to note, the Express/Savana is an old vehicle that dates back to the 1990s. The duo remains the oldest models in their segment by a wide margin and are even the oldest GM vehicles currently in production. Meanwhile, competitors field substantially more modern and attractive products. Even so, GM has sold more than three million Chevy Express and GMC Savana units to date.
GM previously considered to redesign the Chevy Express for the 2027 model year, keeping the ICE powertrain. However, the automaker has canceled any next-generation vans, instead moving the all-electric BrightDrop vans under the Chevy brand while planning to continue offering the Express in its current form.
We explain why the Chevy Express and GMC Savana have never changed and probably never will, though we believe there is a business case for some updates that could enable GM to get more mileage out of these money makers for yet another decade.
Looking ahead, we don’t expect GMC Savana sales to move significantly from the levels recorded during Q4 2024.
The 2025 GMC Savana drops the audio system upgrade – the AM/FM stereo with MP3 player and USB port – along with several other features and options. In practical terms, this means that the 2025 Savana will no longer have a CD player or USB port, while Bluetooth connectivity is available through a dealer-installed kit. It also offers a new rearview camera mirror.
Here are all the 2025 Savana paint colors, the interior colorways, and available wheels.
No special finance or lease incentives available either.
Highly customizable and super affordable.
"We are working on a deal. We will see what happens."
Alas, the plan was not green lit since a business case was not made.

Do these sales numbers include all the School bus, Camper, Ambulance, and U Haul Cutaways?
Thank you President Biden and Vice President Harris for those 2024 numbers. We are now in a Trumpcession. I saw 6 smallish brunt chicken wings for $9.99 at a gas station convenience store yesterday along I-55. That’s insane.
FFS, not everything is political Biden was not the end-all and nor is Trump. Partisan hacks are the reason this county is so messed up.
What’s a brunt chicken wing?
My GMC cargo van was just ordered and hopefully will be here in 8 weeks. 😅
Don't hold your breath, we received our passenger van 1 month ago after 18 months on order.
And our previous van was on order for a year---and our previous van was on order for a year.
So its getting worse.
Good luck! You can order all you want but it won’t get placed until GM allocates it.
My 3500 passenger van took roughly 10 months from order to delivery and I was one of the fortunate ones. Lots of orders go unfilled for years.
I'm only interested in the GMC Savanna Cargo van after seeing an ughlee Transit and a weird looking Ram Promaster on the street. Looking for Mr. Handsome Savanna who smokes a Diesel. ;)
GM destroyed their own market share for these GM vans by refusing to build and ship them promptly for some stupid reason. They drove most of their loyal customers away to the competition. Very dumb move. Or maybe it was intentional to create low sales numbers to justify killing it like they did with Impala, Malibu, and Camaro to an extent.
That’s the truth. GM makes zero effort to build or market the GMT610 line. They don’t even bother to fill the orders they have, let alone provide inventory to dealers. And deleting content instead of updating isn’t much of a strategy.
